I made no mention of Muslims - only you did that. The question was about Islam.

I see - you make a distinction between those who practice Islam: and the political ideology? I don't think the religion of Islam is inherently evil, but the mediaeval fundamental manifestation of it certainly is.

Then I'm unsure what response you wish me to give. Perhaps you would like to rephrase your 'question about Islam'.

I'm not aware I was asking for any response. Do you feel compelled to give one?

Well you make no distinction between the mainstream and the fundamental variety. I've known many muslims who are horrified at what is done in its name. But religious fundamentalism is a topic for another thread.

maybe to you, but you do know they would put their religion before anything else, including their host country.

All religions depend to a greater or lesser extent indoctrinating the next generation but it seems to me Islam takes this to extreme and employs a particularly aggressive form of psychological and physical brutality. Islam leaves absolutely no wriggle room for free will and in my world that's a pretty fair description of evil. However, unlike Islamists, I am willing to allow that this is merely my opinion, formed and expressed freely without coercing anyone to agree with me.

Probably worth starting a separate thread or going to reddit if you want to discuss this.

It's just a matter of time before science proves, via the human genome project, that there is no divine being who created the world.

Nope.

Already there are apparently about 200 genes that humans share with bacteria. Then there will be no material need for any religion.

Didn't think religion was a material need.
