The "staying to the end of the Japanese season" rumour has apparently been denied by Muscat's people, according to H&H.

Frankly, when I see who might have been appointed, I'm reasonably content with either of these two candidates. The choice isn't really about their CV's, which are fairly comparable, but about the strength of their character and their ability to dominate and lead a group of players who may not have the most honest application to their responsibilities.

I voted Clement but I might as well have voted for Patrick Swayze for the amount I really know about them. I just can't quite get past that very poor period Muscat had in Belgium.
