Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't a cabinet minister need to have been an MP in the first place? Who voted for him? Methinks desperation.

Not if he gets a life peerage

Members of the House of Lords are eligible for ministerial office including cabinet office. There have been many of them Lord Carrington, a distinguished Foreign Secretary, Lord Home also a FS The noble Lords Mandelson and Adonis from your team.

I agree, though. Ministers should be in the Commons where elected representatives can question them.

All in all, it looks like Sunak is in a world of shit. Thankfully he’ll soon be just a footnote in history … the little slimy f*kker who impersonated Tony Blair.

Sunak is toast, It’s a matter of time. Wonder if Cameron is circling the sick beast in the hope of a second go.

Agree with the Bluedell comment, we can’t have a minister highlighting how useless this pm and his government are in public.

Not after he ran away like a baby when things didnt go his way. Then he got caught in that scandal trying to get the Govt to invest in his mates company that went bust.

He had to resign. His policy was rejected in the Referendum. It’s all right for lower ranks to accept the instruction delivered to them by the country but the headman has to go.
