Scott7 5,941
Liverpool will win the tournament, Manchester United an outside bet. The meaning of this is that Arsenal will cruise to victory this evening and United might be struggling at Wigan.

Pity the Board doesn’t have a resident witch doctor to advise on protocols. Best match of the round. Arsenal had five scoring opportunities in the first ten minutes and plenty more throughout the match but could do nothing. Martinelli came on and was unstoppable for five minutes then seemed t lose his touch completely. In the last quarter hour Liverpool brought on two primary schoolboys. They played like Bobby Moore and Franz Beckenbauer. Wednesday beat Cardiff City. Two questions. How did Wednesday manage to score four goals? How did Cardiff not score about six minimum from umpteen chances including two saved penalties? The Tyne/Wear Derby was a sensational spectacle of noise, fanaticism, hatred and colour, then the football started and it wasn’t so good after that.

I recall when the Hatters were cup-finalists, losing to Forest. Tie of the round is at the Hawthorns with Wolves visiting.

Scott7 5,941
City need to try harder to score. You can’t always walk the ball into the net. Many opportunities to shoot in the first twenty minutes all declined. The offside rule needs to be rewritten.
