The crimes of the baby boom generation

Recommended Posts

Blaming whole generations for things is a bit daft.

I'm sure future generations will blame us for what is happening to Britain but in real terms, what can an individual do to impact government policy?  I'd wager the majority of Brits want something done about mass immigration but there's no political party that will do anything, so we're up shit creek without a paddle.

The answer to your question is not much but I think that is a separate point.

Take the example of increased divorce. If I remember correctly the divorce laws were liberalised in the 1960s. Although this made it easier to get a divorce it didn't force anybody to get one. The overall increase is a result of lots of boomer couples deciding to get divorced.

Would I be correct in surmising that you're understanding of the concept of matrimony is entirely theoretical?

Don't worry. The majority of us have long since come to the conclusion that you are in all probability, and in the most literal sense, Gersnet's most prominent VL. 🤜❤️🤍💙

  • Decline of Christianity
  • Increase in divorce
  • Decrease in numbers of women staying at home to raise children
  • Increase in demands for children to be educated

What is the root cause for these things?

Not sure the last one is true.

My goodness!

I think that I must be right over the target with this thread.

Perhaps, if I was a boomer, you might be able to make that claim.
