Farming has been in crisis for as long as I remember although some have managed to do extremely well out of it.

There is a solution. Pay farmers realistic prices for what they produce. No one will like that because the price of food in shops will rocket so people won’t have enough money for the important things of life, ‘phones, fancy trainers, gym subscriptions, drink, nails, holidays.

The Polynesians on Easter Island resorted to cannibalism when food ran out.

Looking about, from what I see, starvation is the better option.
