Gonzo79 14,930
Won't be happening any time soon but it gets discussed (on forums) every few months anyway.
Sutton_blows_goats 5,055
I'm not an expert but i imagine demolishing the copland and broomie and rebuilding the stands to be like the Westfalenstadion might be the most cost effective option. Would be pricey but when we get that 150 million bid for Lammers from Man U we could afford it.

Good luck filling the stands when he is sold.

I would hate Ibrox to look like that.

I recall seeing somewhere the base designs were similar so that's why I picked that out. I'm not over fussed on aesthetics overall as long as we have the main stand in place

I'm not over fussed on aesthetics overall as long as we have the main stand in place The Westfalenstadium was the inspiration for modern Ibrox. Most stadiums were oval shaped with a running track whereas Westfalenstadium was 'square' with 4 separate stands each close to the pitch. Rangers directors visited Dortmund and were so impressed they chose that style of ground for the new Ibrox.
26th of foot 6,046
It was the Scotland v Zaire group match during the 1974 World Cup hosted by West Germany, the match took place in the Westfalenstadium in Dortmund. My old man took me as a reward for gaining access to University, we were standing outside when Willie Waddell passed as part of the SFA party. The perceived wisdom is that Waddell on returning to Glasgow persuaded the Directors to model the new Ibrox on the Dortmund stadium.
FDMA 23
Was at that game and the others V Brazil & Yugoslavia, based in Munster at the time attached to 1SG. Remember it being a nice stadium.
