I always preferred the clear daylight way we did it for a while (I heard talk recently of this coming back?) as it results in more of a positive effect on the game, ie more chances/goals.

Agree, offside traps are an art. The best offside trap in the world cant catch an attacker offside by a whisker. The rule is stupid as is IMO.

Its like putting Harold Shipman in charge of the old folks home.

It's like putting Jim Torbett in charge of your Boys' Club.

A very valid and suitable comment.

Seems like an opportunity missed by SFA. In saying that, he's not one of Lawwells Stooges

This would have been a good appointment. Interesting that they decided to give the role to an active ref with no real experience in life of running a business function and strategising a roadmap for success.

Collum, I believe, is heidie at St Inquisitor's, or some such, Bigot Factory, for which the salary will be substantial.

I don't expect he will be taking a cut, so the salary from the SFA must be significant.

Collum, I fear, will earn those wages.

Rangers, I fear, can expect only a ramping up of Yellow cards, Red cards, and, of course, the Catholic card.
