Who should be the new manager?

We wont appoint until the new boys take control god help us if the present bunch were to appoint a new manager given their track record

It could be done before then. There will be an arrangement in place where the current people will not be able to enter into any major contracts without the new owners' authority.

The manager appointment could be agreed by all parties sooner rather than later, if everything was in place, even if the takeover hadn't been formally completed.

That was only one instance

I think you're getting too hung up on 'inflexibility.' I mentioned how he changed set-up depending on the opposition from that same MNF episode. He has also adapted to the players at his disposal at MK Dons and Swansea.

There was an insistence to play the ball out from the back, week in week out, even though the players consistently lost possession due to a lack of ability, which resulted in a loss of goals.

Surely after a few weeks, a flexible manager says play the ball long? It was a running joke after a while and they kept doing it.

I can't comment on MK Dons or Swansea but purely this season.

You say that like there's just one way to play out from the back - and just one way to play long. And it's not either/or.

Like I said, I don't think there are flexible managers now. You won't see Dyche play out from the back in any way, for example.

They will all have principles of play.

They need to adapt within that, though - which Martin has demonstrated, IMO.

I'm not saying he's the perfect option, just that out of the names being linked just now - outwith Rose, who I would prefer - I'd say Martin is the better option.

Lets get behind him

If SG to be the new manager wouldn’t it have been announced by now?

I got told the new manager is still with a club hence why not being announced. No idea who it is though
