David Murray Defend Our Club

Recommended Posts

I don't think there is anything we can do - look at the recent lies and inuendos in the press that haven't been acted on;

Our grass cut like a SASH

The Eggs Benidict story

The annual furore about our strip (its English, its orange, its a sash - its fuck all to do with the media)

Lies about Mark Walters

Lies about signing policy

The Iborx disaster mocked in print

The Ibrox disaster laughed at by journalists

Jock Wallace and Bill Struth demonised in obituories

A journalist calling us ORANGE SCUM

A journalist who can't go a day without a dig at Rangers, the fans or the RST

A journalist who wanted a 'Munich' to happen

Aye Mr Murray, a dignified silence put them in their place - oh but its alright, they know who they are.....

Agree on them all, but what CAN we do?

Surely this really needs some fan action now?

It requires the 'silent majority' of Rangers fans to wake up and see the untold damage this 'dignified silence' is doing to our reputation.

Today, the RST scored a MAJOR victory for us by getting the real truth from GMP that made Jackson looking like the lying scumbag that he is.

Imagine, given that the RST are a bunch of unpaid fans, how easy and powerful a Rangers PR Department could be - allied to the RST and the many fans who do contact media outlets etc (GMP confirmed that many RFC fans had called them today).

We are the only ones that can get Murray to act, and we are the only ones that can get retractions from the press. However, we need to act and act together.

Yep, that is the problem

Well done to the RST for getting the info and scoring the victory, but without the actual CLUB taking action, it's a very hollow one ..... we need these people banned from Ibrox, simple as that, and the only people who can do that are those running our club!

Very true, but we also need to get the attention of the majority of fans who have no problem with the media telling lies. In fact, there is a section of the Rangers fanbase who believe everything that has been printed about us.

These fans need to be engaged and turned around ASAP as well us trying to get Murray and the board to act. It's a tough job, but one that needs to happy soon.

I think we're fighting a losing battle on this one. Jackson might print a retraction/stroke apology but I doubt it. Any thoughts if suing the Daily Record for defamation of character a la Tommy Sheridan?

The RST should start a petition in the name of the fans against the likes of Jackson or anyone else who delibrately attacks the club and send it to murray. Maybe hell be able to gauge the amount of unrest amoungst the fans over the subject.
