CammyF 7,915
A few weeks ago, there was a thread about Still Game and I mentioned an article written by Still Game 'star' Sanjeev Kohli which stated that Rangers fans thro bananas at Mark Walters. Well, I've managed to find the article as a link was posted on FF. Here it is for your information ; http://www.sundayherald.com/print23584 Oh, and this article went unchallenged by Rangers Football Club Cammy F
Koeman 0
Sanjeev Kohli is a slum landlord and a liar. Seen that article at the time. Prick still hasnt apologised.

Neither has The Herald for poking fun at the Ibrox disaster and one of its reporters wishing for a Munich to happen when RFC were returning from France 1992/3 Cammy F
Lynds 0
am sure I remember a few bananas getting thrown on the pitch when Walters arrived. I also remember my Grandad going mental cause he was not only black, but a catholic! Was very young though!

Lynds, that is utter nonsence, Mark Walters' first two games for Rangers were away to Craptic and Hearts. He received vile racist abuse from BOTH Craptic and Hearts fans, but NOT from Rangers fans :admin: If he did, would he have accepted an honorary membership for the RST? craig 5,199
But Cammy, Lynds didn't say WHO threw the bananas - she just said she remembered them being thrown.

I also remember my Grandad going mental cause he was not only black, but a catholic! Was very young though! i think lynds means that she seen bananas being thrown by opposition fans at walters. anyway, i was actually at the first few games walters played for rangers and can distinctly remember that the only people throwing bananas at walters were from hearts and septic fans!
CammyF 7,915
His debut was at Parkhead and the game was marred by TIMS throwing bananas at Walters and dressing up in monkey suits. The media also had stories in the morning of East End Grocers stating that they had run out of bananas. The kick-off of the second half was delayed 15 minutes so the fruit could be removed from the playing surface. Walters next game was against Hearts at Tynecastle and the same thing happened there. The game was delayed whilst te bananas were removed from the ground. I apologise to Lynds as my response was 'curt' but I thought Lynds was implying that Rangers fans were behind the racial abuse dished out to Walters.
