Motherwell Reduce OF prices...

Recommended Posts

John Boyle deserves a hell of a lot of praise for this at a time when prices are continually going up while the economy is going down.

Football has lost sight of itself and the financial competitiveness means that fans are being charged more and more so clubs can give the money straight to the same players who can charge more as there is more money around in a competitive market.

Where does it stop? All that's really happening is players are getting richer while fans are being exploited. There are nice new stadiums and youth academies on the way but it doesn't hide the fact that if you pumped twice the amount of money into football, all that would happen is the same top players would get paid twice as much.

So where is the progress?

It does seem to me that there needs to be some kind of control on players wages so that there can be control of ticket prices.
