Forgot to put my bet on tonight:

Bayern (2/9)

Real (4/9)

Mk Dons (2/5)

Also was thinking about Birmingham (4/6) and Leicester (1/3).

But if I'm being honest would probably have stuck with the treble (though maybe not I get carried away when actually placing the bet).

In any case all 5 won, but what would that treble have returned had I staked a tenner on it?

Worked it out to be roughly £24.70 but not sure if i've worked it out right?

Cheers guys.

Good good, is there a website that will allow you to put in odds like this, as obviously working it out after the game I could no longer make the selections on my online account and whilst working it out for a treble was not exactly time consuming I have on occassion wanted to do it for a larger number of selctions?

I guess it's hardly the end of the world, but still a bit pissed. I could still get drunk on that money :devil: I mean enjoy a night out :o

All you need is a calculator or a spreadsheet as the formula is simplistic. If you like, I could email you a spreadsheet which should assist - just PM me your email address.

The formula is basically as follows :

game 1 - stake multiplied by odds and then add stake = stake 2

game 2 - stake 2 (from game 1) multiplied by odds and then add stake 2 = stake 3

game 3 - stake 3 (from game 2) multiplied by odds and then add stake 3 = stake 4

And so on and so forth to infinity.......

But I could put it on a spreadsheet for you that would make it very very simple (i.e. put in your initial stake and then insert the odds for your teams and the rest will work itself out for you).

Just let me know.

Yip Craig has it right there, il give an example with actual odds. Dont know about you Craig but i prefer to still work in fractions rather than decimals?

I remember about 9 years ago coming on the train to a Gers game when I used to take a few workmates to the odd game for the day out. 1 is a huge gambler and he sat on the train on the way down and taught me. Before i used to just bet and take whatever i got back.

Anyway an EG of what i do:

Say you picked a 10 quid treble of Liverpool 4/7, Man Utd 4/5 and Bolton 3/1

4/7 (divide) equals 0.57 x 10 (stake) = 5.71 then ADD stake again = 15.71

That winnings goes onto your Man Utd odds of 4/5:

4/5 (divide) = 0.8 x 15.71 (from game 1) = 12.57 then add 15.71 again = 28.28

Onto your Bolton:

3/1 (divide) = 3 x 28.28 (from game 2) = 84.84 then add 28.28 = 113.12

So that odds for a tenner returns you 113.12

Cheers guys, that's basically how I worked it out by hand, just figured having a tool to do it for you would be easier :D

Prefer to work in fractions too. Don't know why, but don't really understand what i'm looking at when I see decimal odds, i.e in terms if how strong a favourite a team is according to the bookies.

My wee brother prefers decimals though, reckons it's easier.

Decimals is actually easier but I prefer fractions.

Decimals :

2.00 = even money

2.50 = 6/4

3.00 = 2/1 etc etc

Weirdly i've actually said to my wee brother decimals looks easier, it jsut doesn't quite compute in my head.

If I look at a team and they're 1/3 I understand how much of a risk that is on my accumulator. Would that be 4.00 in decimals? That just wouldn't make sense when I had a whole list of them. Don't really know why?

That stumped me. And no wonder i use fractions.

I thought 2.00 = 2/1

1.00 = even money
