I will only renew my season ticket if it's Div 3 now.
And if it is Div 3 then I'm genuinely looking forward to a new adventure and visiting some grounds I've never been to.
I'm exactly the same, although I've felt that way since liquidation. Today just reinforced it.

We can'twon't unite while some fans can't put the club ahead of their preferences for owner.
It's more than that - even if the fans unite behind what's best for the club, we will never be able to agree on exactly what that means.
What one fan thinks is best for the club is probably not the same as what another thinks is best for the club.
I doubt this will ever change.

Perhaps but that was never going to happen. The Rangers support are a broad church who'd struggle to agree on anything other than supporting Rangers.

I'm getting really worried now. I can't for the life of me understand why so many of our fans want us to start in Div. 3
.....
I can't speak for the rest but I want to start in division 3 because it's the right thing to do.
It's also the only way I'll renew.

I expect an amnesty will be given to any clubs who get into financial difficulties over the coming season. Expect help from the SFA and the SPL, no points deductions and prize money paid upfront. You know, all the things we didn't get. I'm not being sarcastic, I genuinely think that's what'll happen.
In the end Killie, Utd, Motherwell etc can all reform after administration, debt free. They'll have poorer playing squads but that's about all. I genuinely don't see what else they'll do, losing 6 clubs from the SPL will make an already lopsided league a complete farce.
None of this would surprise me in the slightest.

Fantastic statement.
Right up there with Clyde's from earlier on.

See, the other teams and their fans will have seen the "victory" and will move onto their shitty wee crowds in their shitty wee stadiums - their crowd numbers will NOT increase - no, they will fall (even those at the mechanodome) - but if we use this the RIGHT way we could STILL see large crowds at Ibrox, ploughing through the divisions and coming back uo reasonably swiftly.
I agree to a point. 3rd division and I'll be at every home game.
I stopped going to away games a few years ago.
However, I feel no malice towards any SFL club.
I fully intend to take in as many SFL3 away games as I can afford (or squeeze into because that will be a genuine problem at some of them).
If, on the other hand, we are drawn away to an SPL club in the cup.....

Regan is without a doubt the most incompetent, corrupt, hypocritical and mendacious employee of the SFA in my living memory.
And I'm an auld bugger.

I want us to pay back our footballing debts but accepting this division 1 fudge will probably signify the end of the ST road for me.

They can ram Div 1, this is to protect the one's that are spewing their rabid hatred and bile towards us and also sanctions imposed on us I think it is called "Having your cake and eating it"
Div 3 has been my stand point since all this kicked off and will remain so.....
This is exactly how I feel.
This reported, Division 1 outcome is a fudge that will probably be the last straw for me.

I now find myself in the unusual position of wanting my team, Rangers, to be playing in that league next season. I think that would be the dignified and right thing to do.
Agreed 100% and also agree with your reasons.

Andrew Dickson tweeted: Rangers are aware of it
I hope they follow it up.

Wake me up when this is all over.
That's exactly how I feel.
I've two exams the morra - could do without the distraction but keep checking the web for news.

To be fair to Yorkston, I tend to agree with him on this point.

When is a CVA not a CVA?
Or maybe that should be: When is liquidation not liquidation?

To be fair, if Rangers come back as a newco, starting each season with a points deduction in the SPL, I'll be boycotting them too.

I would wager that bossy is posting in a sarcastic nature. Could be wrong though
Whoopsy - my bad and my apologies to Bossy. :-)

If we're thinking about div 3 why not try the Conference or English Div Two instead?
Non starter. Even if we were accepted we'd have to start much lower than that.
You'd be looking at at least eight promotions before we got anywhere.
If we're to reform as a newco,it's Division3 for me or the game's a bogey.

I think it perfectly reasonable that, in his professional capacity, BH would not want Mr. Bennett to have any outside distractions. There are not many who have the ability, as BH has, to hold down two important roles at the same time.
The hypocrisy in this statement flabbers my gast.

Devine's piece almost comes across as balanced until his last paragraph, where he makes clear that he sees no need to question, let alone prosecute singing in support of terrorism but simultaneously thinks we 'should hang our heads in collective shame' that religious singing is not prosecuted.
His cards are face up, on the table.

just a little bit. i had the CL in mind.
Away to Lyon, for instance? ;-)

TBH, I think £500k is about as much as we could have expected.

would help if he was given a run in his chosen position
I agree with that. But if he's only going to feature out wide, move him on.

Is it not better just to keep it all out of football?
Only if you think all marks of respect for non-football related deaths should be kept out of football.
If so, then fair enough.
I'd still disagree though. ;-)

RST Statement - Division 3 Only Option with No More Sanctions

Far be it it from me to speak on anyone else's behalf but, whilst not necessarily "out of malice," the scrambling to have Rangers in the 1st division demolishes any notion that this decision is for the greater good of the game.
Perhaps for the same reason that pressure is now being put on SFL chairmen totake this into account?
And you think it does?
Deary me.
