I worry he’ll be seen as a soft touch in the corrupt world of Scottish football. Clement lost a SCF and a LCF thanks to questionable refereeing

I've seen him pick up yellow cards from the bench at Madrid so I don't think he will be a soft touch.

We have to concentrate on making our football department function and thus helping our business to become sustainable.

If and when we've done that, you'll find that we don't complain so much about match officials.

I agree with your first point, but it has nothing to do with the biased refs.

Could it be that nobody is actually interested in the bloody job?

In my opinion this could be a factor, after all we have sacked two managers who have won silverware and had great runs in europe. It cannot be an attractive propisition to come and work in Scotland with a board/support with no patience for the constant rebuilds. Managers from other leagues may also be aware of the men in black playing for the other lot too.

  4. The football under SG was a bloody awful watch, and he did only win one trophy, but unlike Gio and Clement it took him three years. He was off like a theif in the night, and then done badly at his next two clubs. Personally, I would be gutted to see him back at Ibrox.

I agree that Raskin has been head and shoulders above most in the team for the majority of this season, but I have been really impressed with how Connor Barron has improved under Barry Ferguson.  It was always clear that he had a wee something about him, but seemed to always take the safe back pass option when in possession.  I have noticed from that number 6 position against the Dundee vermin and Hivs he was definitely looking at more forward runs and passes.  Long way to go I know, but he's got a wee bit of Stuart McCall about him.

Ferguson may not have faired too well managerially but both Raskin and Barron have thrived under his mentorship.

He has been good recently, but I thought he was excellent at the start of the season too
