Rangers U20's lost 2-0 to St.Johnstone on Friday.
Yet another closed door game, not even players parents were to be allowed in. Although they forgot to tell St.Johnstone this, so when some of them turned up there was a change of heart, small comfort to the Rangers parents that didn't travel to Murray Park.
Details are limited, don't expect anything on the official site, coaches are always very quiet after a defeat.

I don't think he was every ahead of McKay and Aird to be honest. Mckay was a regular at U19's while Aird broke into the 19's in 2nd half of the season. Charlie wasn't involved at 19's last season.
He was regularly a sub at 17's under Sinclair, until Mark Wotte gave him high praise and all of a sudden he was starting games. He was injured first few months of the season but is fit now, he is one of a group of players in a kinda limbo due to decisions made on what leagues we would play in.
Unlikely to get much game time with the reserves and no other competitive games to play in these players are restricted to friendlies. I do think Charlie has a chance but this season has been a waste of time for him and a few others, yet another example of the failings of the current setup.

13′s Beat The Weather And Accies
Report on today's game
http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2012/12/09/13s-beat-the-weather-and-accies/
Accies centre-forward Aidan Lafferty along with Rangers Stephen Kelly were the standouts on show. The Accies boy has already been at Man Utd on a couple of occassions. Neither are Sinky type players much too small for his liking. I have already highlighted his record in "buying" players, with Him, Tom O'Neill and Billy McLaren in attendance it would be interesting to know their thoughts on the game
Tom Walsh's late substitute appearance on Saturday means he can put a spin on how good a job he is doing

BTW, has anything been confirmed with regards to him joining us at all?
He has been at Rangers for a while now, what I didn't know was that he was also working for Falkirk

How can you work for 2 Clubs at the same time?
Following on from "How come 10 players you released are now being selected for Scotland youth squads ?"
And
"Why did you release 11 players you bought without them reaching the youth team ?"
This is another "please explain" question for Sinky
How many youth players released by RFC then subsequently picked up by Falkirk have been sold on for significant fees, is Murray Wallace the only one? That was long before Tom O'Neill was at Rangers. Murray Wallace is the only one Falkirk have sold on but there are a few in their youth teams that were at Rangers, 17yo Connor McGrandles has scored for Falkirk 1st team a couple times in recent weeks.

Don't know too much about him, I know who he is and that some scouts report to him
As far as I'm aware he is in charge of scouting at the younger age groups

Sinclair brought him to Rangers when Celtic bumped him, I didn't know he had two jobs. Will he now be full- time at Rangers under the current youth regime ?

Me too I'll be going and the vast majority of people I know who go regularly will go too.

I intend to go to the game as do most of the people I know that go to away games

Most people probably think it is trivial, I think it indicates a slip in standards. The "Academy" section on the official website is so out of date. In the U17 team picture which is out of date, ELEVEN of the 17 players have left the club. Other team pics are out of date too, how hard can it be to update the team pics each season.
Might just be a coincidence but all the youth team pictures have now been updated.

Haven't heard anything, some of those that have never watched a youth game in their puff tell us everything is great because a couple of players have played 3rd division football. SIX of Killie's team yesterday have played in the SPL, more of a concern is how Mark O'Hara, Mark Taylor and Chris Johnston have developed since Sinky decided they weren't good enough.
A good pic of the three stooges on the official site

Where as they are quick to promote themselves on the back of a win or when a player is called up for international duty, there is no surprise that none of them have any comment to make about yesterday's game.

Ryan came through the younger teams, travels up from Stranraer four times a week, which is a massive commitment for him and his family. He looks a real goalscorer and has found the net on a regular basis through the age groups.

"Heard anything of the new kid in town, Mather? "
Just the same as whats been reported on message boards, I heard a while ago he was having meetings with Sinky. Who I am sure would be telling him everything is going fantasticly well and he is running a slick operation and providing value for money.
Recently there has been a few trialists from The Manchester Football Academy, and one of them a striker Travis Gregory signed this week. My gut feeling is that Mather may have links to them, I haven't heard anything just putting two and two together and probably getting five.

"Any of them looking ready for promotion to first team squad?"
It was a pretty young team, with 12 of the 16 man squad under 18 its probably a wee bit too early for most of them. There are some excellent players in this group and I believe quite a few of them will play in the first team at some stage.
At this stage Luca Gaparotto continues to look the part and Callum Gallagher's goalscoring can't be ignored, so they would be most likely in my opinion. This time next year I would expect a few others pushing for a chance.
