  1. I don't think anyone would advocate trusting him unconditionally but the BBC stuff last night is just another example of the media trying to smear him without producing any actual facts. They are just bombarding him with so much negative publicity that some of it is going to stick and make people mistrust him more than perhaps his actions merit.

The bottom line is that very few people know Whyte's exact plans but that is mainly down to the HMRC case in my view. The time to judge him will be when the outcome of that is apparent and unless the BBC and others produce evidence to go with their innuendo then that is the line I will be sticking to.

  2. Good article mate.

I disagree about the Tartan Army being embarrassing. I agree with every other thing you said about the situation though. I'm just proud to be a Scotland fan. :P

I am perhaps being harsh on the TA itself. Sadly it seems to have been polluted recently by a lot of people for whom anything OF related is to be sneered at - including the players. I also think that any organisation that allows itself to be represented by a tool like HH needs to take a look at itself. I remember a time when a large number of Rangers fans were part of the active Scotland support. I think those numbers are dwindling due to this type of attitude being presented as the official TA line.

  3. Ach!,away you go man.that's just a pile of shite from a paranoid Rangers fan

Only joking:smile:. Facts are of no interest to the BHEAST run SFA

Haha! Trust me I'm getting that from plenty of people. Seems that even if you clearly highlight disparities people just call you paranoid.

  4. Danny, I doubt many of us are really genuinely offended by the use of 'hun' but, as is the case with 'fenian', Scottish case law infers it is indeed sectarian in many/most contexts.

Ergo, given Mr Regan seems keen to tar reasonable people with the bigot brush after blocking them for no reason, I think Chris is right to question his judgement when he doesn't block those who are less than constructive. Personally, I'm pretty careful with whom I interact with on Twitter and I'm not in a huge position of responsibility like Regan.

I find his actions inconsistent and puzzling. Which is why he's probably blocked me. His loss!

This is the root of it for me. I would never have had cause to check who he interacts with if he hadn't tarred the people he blocked with the bigot brush! At the end of the day I don't think he can reasonably be expected to check the timeline of everyone he answers but I also don't expect to be called a bigot for asking the CE of the SFA or his Head of Comms a question.

  5. I see you were prodding Humza Yousaf about this on Twitter earlier as well Chris.

I was but quite sure he'll avoid the issue. In all honesty I don't expect politicians to look at it and change their mind. What I do expect is that the media in this country do their jobs and some actual work and start investigating these issues properly.

  6. A normal punter? How dare you! Seriously though that is a very good point. Although I'm now getting some abuse from Celtic fans it does seem most of it focuses on them not thinking there is anything wrong with singing IRA songs. None of them seem to be able to grasp the point which is to question why the media are not reporting this when they have reported very similar stories in the past.

Stokes is on STV tonight telling people sectarianism is bad whilst in his spare time he promotes a pro IRA band and sings on stage with them. The media know this but they lap up his sound bite anyway. It's incredible.
