  1. Rangers are in dire dire trouble. I am a member of all the forums from FF to Rmedia and I dont post. I chose to post here as this seems the most grownup. There will be no new owner by Sunday that is a complete fallacy and another attempt by D&P to stop riots as Ibrox. The situation is irreversible. No matter what happens we will not be the same club and we will not be able to compete for year to come. Last year that D*ck Phil Macgobbldygook said that Rangers would be getting a chap at the door from the taxman, he also said administration and liquidation would happen. We all laughed him off. It pains me to say it but he has been right at every turn. CQN also told us last year that EBT investigation was heading to Ibrox. This was before any of us had wind of it. Phil Macgobbldygook told us when CW took over that he was a dodgy character and it would end in tears. Why did the scum know all about this before we did? The reason is we had our heads in the sand. We are doing the same now. This situation could be terminal. When will you stop believing the media? When will you stop listening to D&P? You may say I am being negative and I am. I think I am being realistic. I have a 'yellow card' because you are afraid of what I am saying.
  2. A deal done by Sunday? No chance in hell
  3. Guys you really underestimate the situation as usual. Most of you said 'Rangers will never go into administration' then 'Rangers will never newco/liquidate'
  4. If you could explain why that would encourage a healthy debate
  5. I am coming to terms with the fact that there may not be a Rangers for one season. Everything I have learned and everyone I have spoken with agree that there may be far too many obstacles and legal issues to overcome in time to get NEWCO registered in time for the new season. Unless the SPL delay start of season which I believe has been discussed. Prepare for this outcome. Even with the news that CW agrees to sell shares.

As I have said in a previous post. Miller is our only choice. No one else will come in. That does not mean we should accept him without asking questions. We have done so before. Craig Whyte anyone?

He is not side stepping the issue. He is taking the Rangers that we know and love and 'incubating' it with the hope that it can get a CVA. It wont and we will be stuck with newco which is not Rangers. I really believe that Bill Miller knows this and this is just to appease the fans. It seems to be working. He has no clue what he is getting himself involved in. When it comes to light that Rangers(oldco) has no chance of a CVA we will act. It will though be too late.

Yes we are heading for a long period of those B'#'#'#rds dominating.

You do all realise that CW offered to pay HMRC back in full at 2million per year. They said no. They knew they may get nothing. This is a test case for them. If they make an example of Rangers they can then go after the bigger clubs. If they play ball with Rangers all the bigger clubs will breath a sigh of relief. They are going to war with tax avoidance in football. Rangers are the test case. Again as I keep saying I hope I am wrong but I dont believe I am.

No there have been no such reports. Unless you are talking about from the media who told us CW was a billionaire. The same media that told us that TBK would easily achieve a CVA. When will you realise that you cannot trust the media? If HMRC play ball then they will have to with every other club. If they were going to play ball they would have done so by now.

    Concerns

HMRC are already pissed with Rangers. With this approach by Bill Miller do you think they will just accept a CVA? They want to make an example of us so they can go after the bigger clubs down south. If they accept this approach from us then they have no chance of getting anything from other clubs. This approach will ensure they block a CVA. I reckon the would have done so anyway given the above points.

Frankie Spot on. This is not going to end well. I hope I am wrong. There is a chance that he may not even buy the club. Being proffered bidder is a long way from buying the club. I hope am I wrong about all this. Hopefully in the end you will all laugh at me and call me an old senile fool. I would drink to that.

This makes a CVA even less likely

Well since we need to follow the Uefa rulebook it is probably important to know the ins and outs of it. Just saying.

Juancornetto I am here to ask questions about the guy who has taken over. Is he our only hope? It seems so. That does not mean we cant question him. I did not mean to patronise the whole forum.

Frankie Fair enough. Apologies I am just a bit annoyed at being call a Tim on my first post. The guy should be more respectful to people.

"If Rangers are guilty because of the actions of one man acting alone and should be thrown out for not having enough money to pay the bills, what action should the SFA have taken against a club I'm sure you know well who systematically covered up child abuse for years by passing it off as the evil doings of one man. Surely the club were guilty there too and should have been shut down, as paedophilia is certainly far more evil and wrong than being skint" Really? Is this how low you will go because you think I am a Celtic fan? That is really poor.

    Concerns

It pains me that some of you dont really know the ins and outs of what is going on. It is not your fault. The media and the administrators tell so many half truths and lies. Below is a statement UEFA made this morning Uefa have made the following statement pertaining to newcos: “Clubs are not allowed to change their legal form or structure in order to obtain a licence, simply by ‘cleaning up’ their balance sheet while offloading debts – thus harming creditors (including employees and social/tax authorities) as well as threatening the integrity of sporting competition. Any such alteration of a club’s legal form or structure is deemed to be an interruption to its membership of a UEFA member association and, consequently, three years must pass before a club can apply again for a UEFA licence. In other words, the three-year rule is designed basically to avoid circumvention of the club licensing system.” The Uefa stance is clear and unequivocal on how it treats any newco created to shield a football team from any financial or regulatory ills experienced by the organisation from which it sprang. “If a club sets up a new company simply to avoid paying its debts or obligations then they would almost certainly fail the three-year rule [for obtaining the required Uefa licence],” a spokesperson for Uefa told The Scotsman. “This is to ensure clubs do not simply create a ‘newco’ and leave the previous entity in charge of dealing with debts.” I could have told you this last night. There is no way a newco would get entry to the CL. Re the point that a CVA will be agreed and the companies will merge if this was to happen it is crazy to think it will do in the next month. TBK were told just yesterday that a CVA was not deliverable. HMRC are gunning for us of that there is no doubt. A CVA will be next to impossible to achieve. Speaking with relevant financial people last night to a man they expressed their concerns that oldco will never merge with newco. You say I am being negative but it seems I am the only one asking the difficult questions. We cannot be led down this path again. And to Tannochside bear who clearly accuses me of being one of 'them' I only mentioned Celtic because someone asked the question. It is a fact that on companies house our Company SC004276- The Rangers Football Club plc will end up with status of: LIQUIDATION I am concerned. I am not a Tim. Actually a childish attitude to take just because I dont fall in with the rest and welcome BM. A guy who will asset strip, profit make and leave. A guy who admitted in a interview he knows nothing about 'soccer'

They will have spoken with the creditors and would have been given indications either way. Administrators said they could not deliver CVA.

Hi thanks for the welcome On companies house Celtic still have the same number that was registered with them in 1887 If our Oldco is liquidated we will have a new number and the old number will say liquidation. This is why I want to avoid liquidation I do not want to give them any ammunition. I cannot see how the Oldco would get a CVA. I hope I am wrong. Please let me be wrong. Feel sick with all this.

    Concerns

Hi Folks I signed up to the site last week but this is my first post. As good a time as any. I am really concerned re todays confirmation of preferred bidder. Here are my reasons. 1. The chances of a CVA are very low. HMRC want to make an example of us. If a CVA was possible it would have been done by now. 2. Bill Miller is no football man. The only way he would be in this is to make a profit and to make a profit he would need to operate us at a very low level. 3. As with point 2 we will have no european income for 3 years. We will struggle to compete. 4. The administrators said tonight that Bill Miller had assurances from SPL/SFA but on my Twitter tonight many BBC and STV journos are saying he hasn't. Why are they lying? 5. In relation to point 1 Oldco will not get a CVA so will not merge with NEWCO. This is liquidation. Its just a fancy way of saying it isnt. I am sick to the teeth of false dawns and I am sick of the administrators and their lies. Can someone please enlighten me as to where all todays celebrations are coming from? Am I missing something? I am keeping the champagne on ice for now. I really am getting fed up with this. Sickening.
