Credit where credit is due,...Ross certainly stepped up to the plate in what must have been a relatively pressurised situation and played a blinder in his quarter-back role.

Very kind Buster, but at the end of the day all we are doing is talking Rangers, it's an absolute pleasure

  2. I'm with Forlan's Sister here. The gents on our board are known to be lifelong fans who have invested cash, time and expertise, and importantly seem to have a good working dynamic right now. Allowing folk to "buy" a seat on the board is going to open it up to blazer chasers and could easily upset the apple cart.

What for me has been the most impressive aspect over the European qualifiers, is a management of the tie at hand and doing what was required to get to the next stage.

This is such a key point, because all four of our ties required serious game management in the second leg, and the way all ties were managed shows the intellect of our management team

  4. Sorry for the slow reply. I think I'm right in saying the white bear has closed down. The Green Man in Islington is the meeting place of the London RSC so would be a good shout. Best bet is to contact the Surrey True Blues, they watch most televised games at Dice Bar in Croydon, 15 min train from Victoria and a good fun crowd. Contact the RSCs first because not all games get shown.

How are you enjoying Lux? I worked over there on Avenue John F Kennedy a few years back.

Only been here four weeks but I'm loving it so far, lived in London for the last 20 years so it's a hell of a change but very impressed with the place so far. Managed to hook up with the Luxembourg True Blues who have been absolutely superb.

  6. Rangers fan filmed himself racially abusing child immigrants in Skopje (called them "mistakes" and used a horrible 4 letter word) before saying "white power" and put it on his social media, someone took it from there and it's all over the internet, another stick to beat us with because of the actions of one disgusting piece of filth. Deserves everything he has coming to him, and I'm glad it appears rangers are being proactive, folk have identified the guy so rangers should inform the cops and ensure he can never get to another game

  7. Absolutely horrible situation, really feel for the poor family who must be a wreck. Hopefully he's waking up somewhere with a monster hangover trying to figure out how to get home, but with every passing hour it looks more bleak. Hope he gets home safe

That’s impressive. You’ve managed to find just the right tone of discussion early on and I really hope you stick to this format. I still think it’s a tad too long though ?

It's a fair point about length, I think we are trying to find that balance between not rambling on for hours, but making sure every major talking point from the week is given suitable discussion. There were still loads of questions that we planned to discuss but dropped during the record for time reasons (e.g. Wes being told he can leave). This club never leaves us short of things to talk about!

  9. Rumour going around about PSFs: Wigan and Bury at Ibrox, july 6 and 8th respectively. If true, not the most inspiring and probably won't tempt me to make the trip, but I suppose we need minutes before Europa League qualifiers, and top teams won't be back for pre season at that point.

Hard to see both actually taking place at ibrox within two days of each other. Wigan maybe but Bury seems perhaps more suited to behind closed doors

  10. Slightly controversial opinion, but a lot of people are saying this isn't the time to roll the dice. I completely disagree. We are very much running out of time to stop their ten in a row, and it's time to gamble and hope it pays off. We've been without a proper manager for a long long time, so Allen must have a very good knowledge of who is on the market and interested in the job. Chances are, that's McLaren and Pardew etc. The fact that we've not got a FdB suggests that they don't want the job (as Pete mentioned on this week's podcast) so I imagine we're left with a list of "established experienced names", none of whom are the required quality to win 55. Under these circumstances, I agree with taking a gamble.

Yes, he's never managed before, but he has been managed by top coaches into captaining a side to a Champions League win. He'll have seen how a team needs to be coached, and I imagine will still.have Houlier, Benitez et al available for advice and guidance.

Time is running out to stop them. If the established names in the frame arent of sufficient quality, then let's gamble.

  11. Never saw the fuss with him. Not the required quality to win us 55. Clearly the club didn't fancy paying him what he felt he was worth, and that's fine by me.

Hope to see a big defensive shake up this summer anyway.

That said, hell of a move for the lad and it's great to see a young scottish player putting himself out his comfort zone.
