Bougherra had received extensive treatment this week and underwent a fitness test on Friday but has not recovered in time, the Algeria Presse Service reported. He suffered a tear which forced him off during Rangersââ?¬â?¢s win over Celtic in the final in Glasgow on Sunday. ââ?¬Å?He is not fit enough to make the match. We donââ?¬â?¢t want to take risk,ââ?¬Â a team official told APS. Algeria, who played at last yearââ?¬â?¢s World Cup finals, are seeking their first win of the qualifiers after dropping surprise points to minnows Central African Republic and Tanzania in their opening two Group D matches. You still have to wonder why he was running around Hampden during the celebrations if he had really torn his hamstring. We've had reports that he could be out for several weeks and yet he flies out to Africa to join up with the Algeria squad and have fitness tests.
