What follows is a blog we posted a couple of years ago about this incredible trophy that was purchased at an Ayrshire jumble sale!

 

It was won by the Rangers Tug of War team in 1880.

 

Captain of the team was James Watt who was a member of the legendary 1877 team.

 

We recently restored James’s final resting place at Craigton Cemetery.
