Highland League fans

Three new teams will join the Highland League next season. Turriff Utd, Formartine Utd and Strathspey Thistle were all voted in last night with Banks O' Dee missing out.

Personally I think it's great news. It's been far too long since the Highland League had 18 teams (15 years), and for geographical reasons I'm glad it was Banks O' Dee who missed out. One Aberdeen team is quite enough and there's already too many Aberdeenshire teams. The league is crying out for a Highland team. Since losing Inverness Thistle, Caledonian and Ross County it's effectively become an Aberdeenshire League.
