Great to see such a positive reaction to this superb analysis online this morning. Well over 5000 hits on the main site and a huge response on social media too.

Not bad for Smiddy's debut. ?

No better feeling than putting an article together and your fellow fans agree/appreciate it. I used to do articles for another forum years ago and was always humbled by the hits.

    Welldone to Smiddy.

As for the " hothead" " temperament" etc, it's the kind of thing I'd expect to read on the comments section on YouTube and not from a journalist.

I honestly don't ever recall Sutton and Harston being brought into question when they were kicking the shit out of the league.

    It was " passion" " grit" " Steel" and dare I say " a man's game"

  2. Hmm, excluding keepers.

Nobody really jumps out to be honest. Everybody has destinct pros and cons.

I'll go with morelos as he's been solid two years in a row. Celtics main players have either hit the skids this season or left.

Forrest has come on to a game but every players has their purple patch.

I'll go Morelos. All round game, effort and goals plus age and pote tial it's Alfie got me but again, nobody in our league is what you could call " a cut above the rest"

  3. Inherent inferiority complex with the inability to accept reality.

When you live your life with that amount of cynicism and bitterness it poisons the very core of your being. I knew a Rangers fan like that on do the bouncy back in the day, he'd post the vile conspiracies with some choice language at 6 am.

Couldnt imagine what the inside of their heads look like.

    Poor buggers.

I’m no authority on boxing but Ricky Burns was protected? Was it because he defended his titles against dud opponents or something?

Genuine question as I know little about boxing

Cotton wool and bubble wrap then thrown into a fall out bunker.

In short, he was a solid average European B fighter with a great engine who overachieved and was in the right place at the right time for his belts. His manager sailed him past every major hitter in his class.

British boxers are by in large hype jobs and cash cows for Hearn.
