Has nobody told him that the league table shows who the best team is?:spl:

Think it was well worth the effort to post it here.

:robbo:Would not disagree. We have scored more goals than anyone else:flipa:. That is something of a surprise to me given the attention to our boring defensive play:flipa:. That said we have conceded fewer goals than anyone else:flipa:. As Chairman Mao should have said "The first step on the road to success, is not to get beat" David Weir would have been my choice, but well done Davis.

Seems we are all concentrating on the Ellis bid and ignoring the other bidders out there. There are at least another 2 interested parties, this has been reported in numerous places and at different times. I don't know if Mr King is behind any of them, but one consortium includes Graeme Souness. Now for the conspiracists, just how good, if at all, are his relations with SDM. As I recall he once said that he would never manage another football club but didn't rule out owning one.

The old Alexander's bus garage has been looked at time and time again but nothing happens because the land is effectively contaminated. Douglas Park golf course and the Allander burn lie between this site and Murray park.

Does this mean that we are any nearer some sort of solution?

We can only hope. His managerial record can only be described as second to everyone's.

Ha ha, indeed. Although yes, I would agree that he would be an outsider, you never quite know with these old stagers. Sometimes fancy one last crack at the big time, just to show the young whipper-snappers they can still cut it if they want to.
Right I can see that. That is exactly what Craig Brown has been doing at Motherwell and is a valid point.

Trappatoni might not be too pie in the sky but it would likely take a lot of money to get him. And having spunked so much on hiring and firing Mowbray (and his (mis)management team) and funding his scattergun transfer policy, how much can they really afford to pay?
Do you really see him as anything but a rank outsider? I don't see what could be the attraction for him. Though to be honest I can't see what the attraction could be for anyone.

Have seen some posts talking about Trappatoni, absolute mince. They are away with the fairies!

:fish:only one person can pick the team and we have been given enough hints that he is, more than unhappy, with the current scenario.

was it to show how weak and shallow our squad is?...
Think you may have something there.

:spl:The goal difference gives us another point of advantage, not bad for a boring, defensive team, eh.

:(Think Boyd may be thinking along the lines that Rangers have been the winners in signing him for long enough. Now it's time to look out for himself, he's young yet, but not a player I would see having an exceptionally lengthy career. Could be he's decided it's time for Rangers to put up or shut up. The underlying uncertainty about the ownership of the club is certainly a factor in his thinking.

Football is theatre and today was theatre at it's best. What a result. Simply the best.

As I remember it, Mr Smith was brought in to advise Mr Souness on the Scottish game.

Just seen the post about sky blue thinking, any chance of some light blue thinking instead?

Yeah, we seemed to take a rest at 3-1, but, at most it was nothing more than a bad day at the office. The treble is still on, we don't need help from anyone else, it is very firmly in our own hands.

:devil:Something is happening, not sure about Ellis though, more interesting is the potential conflict of interest regarding messrs King and Murray, for my two bob.

So what.

Can anybody give a rational explanation for Brown's sending off, looked like nothing to me and am sure he wouldn't have made a difference if he had stayed on, but they will milk this.

This reeks of someone being at the wind-up.

Yes, I am equally confused.

My first attempt at a post and I'm pleased that it is to show support for a grown up article on our current situation. Sure there are grey clouds on our immediate horizon but, we are not beat yet by a long way.

Celtic suffer Europe seeding blow...

Personally I think the whole argument about the Scottish European coefficient is a total washout, a complete and utter nonsense. Events before the final in Manchester proved that there is no goodwill towards us in Scottish Football. A Ranger's win, albeit a long shot, would have improved the coefficient dramatically. As it was a lack of support from other Scottish clubs, led by the Hysterical, Hooped Hypocrites saw us placed at a disadvantage, against a team whose football association moved heaven and earth to help them. Some people need to examine their own behaviour before calling for support from other club's supporters. I am in the camp of those that want to see the Hysterical, Hooped, Hypocrites humped in europe.
