  1. A few players I'd take highlighted above.

Quite a few good quality keepers on that list like Heurelho Gomes and Chris Kirkland and I noticed Rhys McCabe on the list released by Sheff Wednesday.

Also noticed Warburton's son is on the list.

  2. Bit of a long shot but I remembered reading the Man Utd under-21 captain was released. No absolutely nothing about him but just wondering if that might be the kind of market Warburton and Weir will be operating in.

  3. And maybe another - possibly final - chance for Barrie McKay ?? There is a player in there. Maybe Warburton is the man to help the lad develop and progress in the first team. Pace to burn and great vision for a pass.

Gasparotto is another one who could be part of the squad. Is the young right back Sinnamon still with us?

  4. All of the matches will be screened live on BT Sport, with the final shoot-out taking place on Sunday, May 31.

The play-offs will begin on Saturday, May 9 at 5.30pm as the side that finishes third in the Championship - either Rangers or Hibernian - face Queens.

The return leg will then be played eight days later on Sunday, May 17 with a 3.30pm kick-off.

The winner of that tie will then face the sides that finishes second over two legs on Wednesday, May 20 and Saturday, May 23, with the ties kicking-off at 7.45pm and 12noon respectively.

And that will then set the stage for the final shot at glory as the last Championship team standing faces the side that ends up second bottom of the Premiership this term.

The first leg of the final will be played on Thursday, May 28 at 7.45pm before the last 90 minutes of the domestic campaign gets under way three days later.

THE SPFL today confirmed the schedule for the six Premiership play-off clashes as Rangers, Hibernian and Queen of the South bid for a place in Scotland's top flight.

All of the matches will be screened live on BT Sport, with the final shoot-out taking place on Sunday, May 31.

With the race to finish best of the rest in the second tier set to go down to the wire on Saturday and the Premiership battle still to be decided, the season is set for a thrilling finale.

Neil Doncaster, SPFL chief executive, said: "We're delighted this exclusive deal with BT Sport allows us to move our live TV coverage on to another level. Last season the final was broadcast live, but for this season we will see all six Scottish Premiership play-off matches live on BT Sport.

"The Scottish Premiership play-offs have breathed new life into Scottish football and we await another six massive games this May with both BT Sport and BBC Scotland."

Simon Green, Sports Channels Director at BT Sport, said: "BT Sport is proud to enhance its partnership with Scottish football. Audiences for our SPFL televised coverage are growing and our exclusive televised coverage of the play-offs builds on our offering to Scottish football fans."

  5. I would like to see someone with a pedigree of playing attractive football, has a track record of bringing through young players and preferably have knowledge over the Championships/lower leagues in England as I think that will be the market we will be operating in. My choice would be either Nigel Adkins or Mark Warburton. If I had to pick one I'd go with Warburton as Davie Weir is currently his assistant.

  6. You would expect that RIFC/RFC will have granted the marketing rights to the joint venture company, and that any attempt to give them to anyone else or even handle them ourselves will be breach of contract.

Cheers for that info. As I said I really don't have a clue. I really hope King and his team come out and actually tell us exactly what these contracts are.
