  1. Feels like he has been with us for longer.... cant believe Fan fan is ahead of him in the pecking order now.

That's the part that gets me. Marv has always said how proud he is to be at Rangers and all that jazz, then Fan Fan, who has never proven he's any better a player, makes all these claims about our signing policy and openly talks with Charlton about a move and he gets moved up the pecking order for it.

  2. I dont particularly care if people don't like chelsea fans .

    It's jealousy.

That's just not true. Are you saying 100% of people who don't like Chelsea are jelous, every one of them?

Chelsea are falling this season. It's written in the stars for them to yet again monopolize the transfer market by signing Ballack, Shevchenko and stealing Mikel from udner United's nose and STILL manage to lose the title.

  3. Rangers manager Paul Le Guen has told defender Marvin Andrews he can leave the club for nothing.

The Frenchman says Andrews does not feature in his plans for the coming season, leaving the Trinidad and Tobago international to look for a new club.

The 30-year-old has been at Ibrox for the last two years.

But with Julien Rodriguez, Karl Svensson and Jose Karl Pierre Fanfan ahead of him in the pecking order, his Rangers career is at an end.

Won't say I'm suprised to be honest. But Marv can be proud, he proved a lot of doubters wrong at times.

I am, however, suprised that this article is saying Fan Fan is the third choice centre back when clearly he's held talsk with other clubs, meaning we only have 2 tried and tested centre backs who are 100% sure to be at the club this season.

  4. Svensson looked and played like Amo to a certain degree - looked like he could make a mistake any minute!

    Cammy F

You know I was thinking exactly the same thing. Said it from the first minute after he had his fiirst touch, and I was in the Copland so I was looking at him from the back, so I said to my mate: "Looks a bit like Amo", 10 minutes later I was saying: "Plays like him aswell".

And another thing... the fuck was wrong with the juice machines? :admin:

  5. Was there, loving the playing of teh French National Anthem on the tannoy :D

But aye, decent workout, game died a death in the second half. Sionko looked impressive playing on the right.

We had some brilliant little spells of sleak passing, but we still used the lumped long ball down the middle too much for my likings and still insisted on playing backwards, but still, decent game.

    Zambia player impresses SPL duo

Aberdeen and Rangers have expressed an interest in Zambia international Chris Katongo after he impressed against the Scottish Premier League clubs.

The Jomo Cosmos midfielder played in pre-season friendlies during pre-season preparations in South Africa.

And Cosmos chairman Jomo Somo said: "Chris has played exceptionally well and Rangers and Aberdeen have shown interest in him.

"We won't stand in his way. I feel he has to move and he deserves it."

Cosmos lost 2-0 to Rangers but reversed the scoreline in defeating the Dons.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Rangers have been offfered French defender Jeremie Brechet by Real Sociedad.

The 26-year-old came through ranks at Lyon under new Rangers manager Paul Le Guen.

    Aiming high as always then.

  7. All good points, and up until the last couple of years I was always one of the guys who thought Murray always had the clubs best interest in mind, but as the years rolled on and as you say, when he started selling off out assets, it became clear who DM was in it for, and that's himself.

Again though, how much would a buyer need to pay for the club? Either way, having bought us for £6m, Mr. Murray will again made a nice profit.

  8. I'm not his biggest fan either, and I'm all for him selling inside the next 3 years, but only if it's to someone who can take it forward. I'm not going to support getting rid of Murray just to bring in someone even worse.

The lesser of two evils, so to speak.

How much are we talking about by the way, when he does sell?

  9. You love DM really, Cammy, don't you? :D

But aye, it's become unbearable watching our great club cowar at the thought of paying over £2m for someone.

Makes it hard to watch teams like Wigan buy diddy's like Heskey for £5m5m without breaking a sweat.

  10. Looked a decent wee player.

So they wanted what, £2.5m? How much have we actually spent this summer? We paid a couple of hundred thousand for Svensson and that's it, right? And we still can't afford £2.5m?

  11. Rangers owner David Murray may sell the club within the next three years and has already been approached by potential buyers.

The 54-year-old entrepreneur bought Rangers for £6m in 1989.

And he told the Financial Times: "I'm coming up for 20 years, and I think that will be enough for anybody.

"We've had a couple of people speak to us tentatively, but I would only sell the club if it was somebody who could take it to a higher level."

Murray's portfolio of metals, mining, property and venture capital businesses have made him Scotland's fifth richest man, worth £650m.

His investment at Rangers helped secure a famous nine-in-a-row championship wins between 1989-1997.

And the club's £12m training facility, Murray Park, is named after him.

Murray stepped down as chairman at Ibrox in July 2002 but returned to the post in the summer of 2004.

BBC Sport covering this now aswell.
