No idea. What was the gist?
It will be on STV player, mate.

I'm sure I read D&P were going to go to court pre-CVA to have that set at nil because the decision has not been made yet.
That doesn't explain what should happen post-CVA.
That would be a strange ruling to get.

The BTC has absolutely nothing to do with Whyte not paying PAYE or NI - The club currently owes £0 for the BTC!!!
The reason why whyte didn't pay the PAYE/NI, is because he underestimated the running costs & had no money of his own to invest. There was NO CASH FLOW at the club. Withholding the PAYE/NI contributions is a common way for businesses to allow themselves some extra cash flow in the short term. It is not illegal if the deductions are declared.
As for HMRC agreeing to a CVA....who knows. As Green has said, they are better to accept something as opposed to possibly nothing.
Rangers already have a bill from HMRC - the FTT is an appeal against that.

No complaints. But if it's just investors and not office holders, what can they do?
Not a thing.

Well it's actually not Green saying we have millions it's one of the backers, which I find a bit strange telling the creditors they have loads more money than they have put on the table. Instead of having a pop at a press soundbite line is no one on to the backers he gave enough clues away in that report.
This McDonald looks like another Whyte/Murray.
Never mind Paul Stretford for every good story you get 10 bad ones.
So who are the backers, Sherlock?

Better late than never.

I answered with this on another thread.
This statement makes me very nervous: "we know we need hundreds of millions to be successful at this level." I have said often on here a conman will tell you exactly what you want to hear. That story has made me even less trusting as I was.
Apologies, I didn't know that there was another thread on it.

One minute Green is saying that we will be living within our means and that ST prices will rise, then we have this.

http://www.express.c...-chest-for-Ally
CHARLES GREENâ??S consortium will hand Ally McCoist a multi-million pound war chest this summer â?? if the Scottish Football Association can be persuaded to drop their transfer embargo.Express Sport spoke to one of Greenâ??s backers, former Sheffield United owner Mike McDonald, and he admitted that their group have serious wealth that has been put together from the medical worlds of Kuwait, Abu Dhabi and Singapore alongside major investment from European and UK property developers.
Top football agent Paul Stretford will also have a major involvement in the football operation, helping the club to buy and sell players.
McDonald admitted that once Greenâ??s consortium complete their takeover and sort out the debts they are willing to plough significant amounts into the team to help McCoistâ??s team to become big players in Scotland and the Champions League.
That investment, however, may have to be delayed unless Wednesdayâ??s SFA appeal against their one-year transfer ban is overturned.
Charles has brought significant funds to the table because we know we need hundreds of millions to be successful at this level. â??It is pointless to get involved if we werenâ??t going to invest in the playing side right away,â? McDonald stated. "We see that as a major priority, although, obviously, that is dependent on the Scottish Football Associationâ??s transfer embargo. We know that Ally McCoist needs to strengthen his team and also to keep some of the players he already has at the club. *â??We have got all our funding together for every aspect of the take over and now it is just a case of sorting it out.
Charles has had a good conversation with Ally McCoist and we want him to carry on managing the team.
â??There are a lot of people who are in this game for the publicity and think they can run a football club on a shoestring but it just isnâ??t possible, I know that. We will not be throwing silly money at things like Manchester City but we know we have to have enough money to carry our plans out.â?
It was McDonald who advised Green to get a group of businessmen together if he was really serious about buying Rangers. He admitted: â??That is the reason why there is a consortium involved because unless you are a sheikh or you have extreme wealth then it is very difficult for one person to fund a big-name football club, like Rangers.
â??I told Charles that if he wanted to do it then he would need to go down the road of a consortium so we would have the financial clout that Rangers needed.* Charles has gone away and done that and that is why we will have money coming from Europe, the UK, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi and Singapore.â?
McDonald has also assured the Rangers fans that Greenâ??s consortium are the real deal. They have the funds and the backers and they also know the football world and are committed to the club in the long-term â?? with the Champions League success their ultimate goal.** â??Every one of the consortium wants to get Rangers back where they should be,â? McDonald admitted. â??It is a massive club and it should be at the forefront of British and European football. Why canâ??t that be done?* I know it canâ??t be achieved overnight but we have a long-term plan to achieve that goal. We have to sort the club out and to get them back on a stable and sound financial footing. Charles is definitely in it for the long haul.â?*
Green has been given the green light from Duff and Phelps to take Rangers out of administration and they hope to have their deal completed by next month. The new owners plan to go down the road of a Creditors Voluntary Agreement although they have put a fall-back newco plan in place should they fail. They are also aware many of McCoistâ??s first-team can also leave this summer as a result of clauses put into contracts when they agreed wage cuts with the administrators.
I smell shite.

Collyer Bristows' are not contesting the right to the £3.8m (or thereabouts) our only live claim against Collyer Bristow is the £25m, as far as I'm aware the three parties with a claim on the £3.8m (or thereabouts) is HMRC, Merchant Turnaround (£1m), Jerome Pension Trustees (£2.9m) I'm led to believe the odds favour the latter two.
Cheers, I'll have another delve.

The last thing on this planet that Duff & Phelps want to happen is RFC plc exiting administration via CVA. The for sale brochure that they did was 17 pages long and had 16 pages on a newco scenario and one on a CVA! (iirc).
The litigation aspect is where Duff & Phelps have been quite clever (when you consider who their master is!) far being it the monies you state Zappa, the relity is that they withdrew the claim of RFC plc. I'm pretty certain that the monies will find its' way to the Jerome Pension Trustees which is basically a front for the Whyte and Earley owned Worthington Group.
The big £25m case against Collyer Bristow will die when RFC plc gets liquidated. Anyway Duff & Phelps are being disingenuous at best because all monies would go into the CVA in any case.
Duff & Phelps are just using up time till their purpose is served.
I thought that I had read that the £3.8m claim had been dropped, but I couldn't find anything. Have you got a link to it fs?

When do we hear from the fans reps?
Only when they want our support or money?
Confidentiality, my dear boy.

Frankie brought it up before that Miller was only there to soften up the support into accepting a bit at a time. CVA, incubator newco with merger, incubator newco but merger might not be possible and now the latest scenario.
Until everything is done and dusted, that lot shouldn't be given an inch.

If they do' date=' what will trigger that? I for one cannot see the SFA opening up this can of worms as it has major repercussions including players that have represented Scotland[/quote']
I don't know, mate. They may just let the SPL take the heat.

Only since the launch of the SPL, I believe, mate. The SFA may be going back further.

I'm with you, great asset somewhere in the club, but as manager? no thanks.
I agree, but I seriously think that if he wasn't manager, he would be offski.

How realistic is his offer? Could just be answering a tricky question with some emotional attachment but not actually serious about playing for us. Or he may want to play for us in ideal circumstances - ie if we were not in financial crisis and had guaranteed European football to look forward to.
On the flip side you've got to wonder what he's got left in the tank - Celtic have recently had a few famous names at the edge of retirement, and they have been a complete waste of money and a bit of an embarrassment really.
However, player/assistant manager could be an attractive option...
The last part is not a bad shout, but I would be against giving him a year simply to satisfy some romantic notion he has.
Who would we get as manager?

We are not the New York Cosmos.

I honestly think the SFA should be taken to court under restriction of trade laws and made to answer why there were no rules checks and balances in place yet they see fit to make up the rules as they go along. I think this will simmer on for a long long time.
There is no restriction of trade in it's true sense. You don't actually need to be a full member of the SFA to play football.

Ok mate i can see we will never agree about this mainly as you as not playing fair with every person and treating them the same.
It's very interesting that you say i have done it to forlanssister on loads of threads yet you fail to mention the abuse that he has been giving me, i think it's clear that your not happy that i have been pointing out the rubbish from one section on here.
In fact i find it nothing short of shocking that you highlight this and ignore what other people have been posting about me, but hey thats your call mate.
If I were you I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of banning me. Leave of your own volition with your dignity intact.

Maybe not being able to scrap together enough for a round at the bar might be a problem.
That's cruel.

I'm refusing to be excited/pissed off with this. I'm going to wait and see.
So far, I like the 15% share cap. That IS good, the rest we shall see.
The sensible option.

Also, Traynor is quite correct about the Green claims about truth and openness being nothing but hot air.
Taurus excreta cerebrum vincit.

Didn't Regan admit to failings in the 'trust system' during his interview with Alex Thomson, and state that the process would need toughening up? It'preposterous that they are prepared to go down the same path once again.

I don't trust Duff & Phelps, not one iota.
