We've done the debate to death, I do think the majority of the support are with me on this one though. Rhys McCabe's reception at Sheffield Wednesday a case in point.
I don't think it's possible for the majority of the support to be with you on anything as your permanently contrarian stance means you would choose the opposite of the majority.
A permanent juxtaposition.
Heigh-Ho it takes all kinds...

probably be some non disclosure clause in the severance money
Possibly but I imagine that any NDA would be with the company which the new board could waive...

Newgate is a city PR/Communication firm with Roddy Watt being one of their client advisors.
Not sure what is happening with respect to appointment of a new NOMAD; has anyone heard anything on this?
DK made clear during one of his press conferences around the time of the EGM that any new NOMAD would require 3 to 4 weeks to complete due diligence on the company rather than the individuals involved, and this could only begin after the new board was formed.
I'd imagine this due diligence is still ongoing.

If we were currently quoted on AIM then that might be the case, but perhaps it doesn't need to happen at the moment because we are suspended.
I don't think being a plc in itself carries the requirement, as you can be a plc and not have a nomad. It's more of the requirements of AIM.
Indeed, I meant listed company rather than PLC.

I would assume because they are Non-Executive Directors?
Possibly, I have no idea I was just asking out of morbid curiosity.

I say congratulations to the guys appointed to the board yesterday and good luck to them.
I do have one technical question though, how where these appointments made without a nominated advisor in place?
I thought that Nomad approval and due diligence was required to appoint a director to a PLC...

Generally speaking, the real damaging 21st Century criminals and their facilitators would seem to wear suits.
No doubt I've posted this before, but it has been that way for a long time as this verse from Woody Guthrie's 1939 outlaw ballad, The Ballad of Pretty Boy Floyd clearly shows.
Yes, as through this world I've wandered
I've seen lots of funny men
Some will rob you with a six-gun
And some with a fountain pen

Interesting stuff. Another one distancing himself from Whyte's fraud...

Thanks for that FS.
Having read through the document mentioned I think it is incredible how these gangsters operate.
Talk about abusing the system!
At one point one of them is a director of the company responsible for the pension, a trustee of the pension itself, and an advisor to the trustees.
Due to bad advice he gave to the trustees he was in a position where he could have made a claim against himself!
The incestuous links around the Rangers story since Whyte got involved begin to make a bit more sense after reading that document.
Honesty is like daylight to a vampire with these people...

I find that in extremely bad taste.
However bad the current directors may be there is no need to characterise them in this way.

Here's one I did back in the old msn messenger days.
He was intended to represent scepticism which is rightly in great supply amongst the Rangers support these days

Not a bad idea! At least then we wouldn't need to listen to and read their constant use of nonsensical football clichés that come out of the "Football Interviews for Dummies" handbook.0

Excellent!, I just received my club 1872 certificate through the post today.
So did I. Well pleased.

Dick move to hold it in London, a move that shows their petty, and possibly slightly scared side, but one that I doubt will deter the mindset of the shareholders and fans in ousting them.
I think it shows their desperation and their lack of understanding of the Rangers fan's resolve, let the cry be No Surrender!

Is nobody else concerned that another team decides who should play for Rangers.
I would say Newcastle were asked who they wanted to send north, not Rangers deciding who they wanted.
Is this what we are now ?
It's not the Rangers I support.
It seems to me that MA is looking at Rangers and Newcastle like another couple of shops, transferring staff between the stores as and when required...

According to Wikipedia Ferreyra is actually on loan to Newcastle from Shakhtar Donetsk!

Thanks for that D'Art.
Furthermore' date=' contrary to some reports, Mike Ashley is not the devil incarnate. He is a powerful, ruthless and opportunistic businessman who appears to maximise to his full potential, the misfortune and weakness of others. Sentiment does not appear to come into it – just ask the employees of USC.

The part I have quoted reminded me of a few lines from Woody Guthrie's Ballad of Pretty Boy Floyd...

I'm probably stating the obvious but I see an analogy of the Battle of the Alamo in the Texas Revolution as very fitting given that the ruthlessness shown by the Mexican Army in that battle led to a swell in membership of the Texian Army and eventually to their victory.
Our victory awaits...

The man is the face of global obesity....a monster eating away at our club as he munches into our assets.
I agree.
In an almost Dickensian way this man wears his greed on his face and carries it in his deportment...

Strong stuff from the the RFB.
In this context they had one card to play and they have played it.
Well done.

Did you ever think of taking up the guitar SBS? The football seems to make you awfully miserable.

...also received threats by email and letter.
It seems quaint that people would still threaten someone by letter in this day and age, a deeply literate lot these threatening types...
Sir,
Please cease and desist with your wayward behaviour towards RFC or myself and a number of like minded individuals shall have no other recourse but to afford you a damned good thrashing.
Yours &tc.

THE American was set to buy the entire club before Christmas but is now ready to do a deal with Dave King and the Douglas Park consortium to take a controlling interest.
Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver is interested in buying shares in Rangers .
AMERICAN banker Robert Sarver has held discussions about buying Rangers - and joining forces with the group of wealthy fans who are trying to force regime change at Ibrox.
Sarver - owner of NBA outfit the Phoenix Suns - has been secretly engaged in buyout talks with the beleaguered board since before Christmas and it’s believed he was ready to spend more than £30million to buy 100 per cent of the club’s shares.
But Sarver has been made aware of the ongoing power struggle behind the scenes which has seen Dave King, George Letham. Douglas Park and George Taylor snap up a 35 per cent holding in the last week.
After holding positive discussions with Park’s consortium over the festive period, Sarver - CEO of Western Alliance Bancorporation - is supportive of their plans to topple the current board.
He may even be willing to strike a deal with them as they attempt to take on Newcastle owner Mike Ashley for control of the boardroom.
