He isn't under contract at the moment though is he? Is there not a gentlemans agreement that he will remain until the end of season and re-evaluate from there?
Would like to see him back as Scotland manager though and someone more attack minded for us.

Agree on every point Craig, yet when you say this to any of their supporters, they simply choose to pretend it never happened or there was no intent or malice there...

I just find it ridiculous how quickly the media and SFA have swept it under the carpet again after the non stop coverage and whinging over the Eduardo incident. That in itself speaks volumes about our countries media and other authorities.

I'll put this to you while at the same time not sure if I agree with what I'm about to say.
Laudrup is regarded as a legend and rightly so. Apart from Gascoine we had not seen that level of player before (since Cooper IMO). Laudrup is regarde as a legend but WANTED to move to the EPL, Gazza didn't want to leave and showed a love of the club.
Which should be a legend or shoulf they given the short time they were at the club? If Laudrup is rightly a legend then how can Gazza not be?
Tough one to call IMO. Durrant to me is a legend as Id not seen a better midfielder in Scottish football prior to his injury. Brown, only here for a few seasons as a player, but his heart and commitment made him a legend. McCall another in the same mould.
These players were nothing like Laudrup and Gascoine.

No I would, I just don't see Papac as a CB anymore, a player who could easily fill in for Weir to give him rest time. Smith I can only hope rediscovers the form he showed pre injury. Ball I have always rated and now seems to have been injury free for 4 seasons I think.

Gascoine is a legend in my eyes, regardless of his off-field antics. Not often we will be privallaged to see a player of that skill, ability and calibre in a Rangers top. He played looking as if he enjoyed himself while here and seemed to love the club. He brought skill to a level rarely seen here as well as a bit of laughter and fun too....the flute, the yellow card etc, aswell as some fantastic performances and goals.

I'd take Ball back but cant see Papac moving back to CB and would rather see Smith get another chance at LB

That I can relate too and agree with.

Why on earth can't posters ammend their own poll btw? Or am i just not doing it correctly?
Anyway, thanks Craig

My only point is that Boyd has shown his desire to stay by refusing moves away. He may well have been shown he is not wanted by these actions, yet he still plays and scores. I'd rather pay to guarantee goals than lose him for nothing under a Bosman.
I understand your points, why can't you understand my reasoning? I thought I was being quite rational.
No opinion on reducing the wage bill as I am not a business man or involved in the finacial side of football I'm afraid. We have however already reduced the wage bill by a good amount I owuld imagine.

Cammy, maybe you can ammend the poll title or whatever. Meant to read "Do you want Boyd to go regardless of financial situation?"
Football terms Cammy, nothing to do with money. I'd like to judge the view on if we would like a player of Boyd's abilities/goals to leave. Simple as that,

Your still going by your own opinions Cammy. No facts whatsoever. Would we/Rangers rather he left on a Bosman than offering even a token contract to bring in a fee. Hemdani wasn't part of the team for a long time, Boyd still is. Thats the difference I make there.
I'm sure everyone is aware that we haven't signed any players, thank you for pointing out the positions we need. I really don't think you were the only one that grasped this fact.

Nothing to do with financial matters, purely to do with the player and his attributes or lack off.
Definite stay for me as I belive he would remain SPL top scorer for years to come.

Regardless of the club or offer, would you rather see Boyd stay or go whatever the price offered?
0 -
Fair enough for the response Cammy, but apart from your own (maybe a lot of supporters) how do you know none of the mentioned players will not be offered new contracts and seem to suggest it will be fact.
Not a slagging match and not because I defend Boyd, just so matter of fact when none of us will know. By the same token, I don't know if Boyd or any others would bne offered a new contract....

What makes you think he won't be offered a new contract before Xmas if he's still a Rangers player tomorrow night when the window's closed??
Never quite touched on that in my reply (ies) but agree with you. No contract and we lose however much money. IMO this would be our fault, well the clubs if he was to say stuff it and see out his contract regardless.
Balde maybe the best example.

Meant to add that I couldn';t disagree because we appear to have accepted offers and he has held talks. I just feel that even though it is clear he would be sold in a heartbeat and make more money, he has said no himself and his desire to stay at Rangers.

Boyd will leave - whether it is this summer, January or next summer is the only point up for discussion. He is out of contract next summer and will not be offered a new deal.
Cammy F
Not saying I disagree but on what do you base this on?
Surely come January if he rejects any offers again then we would offer him a contract to save him leaving for nothing. He has shown he wants to stay at the club.
Can the club sell the player without him agreeing to the move and all the terms etc? I didn't think so, so if he wants to stayt put he could. In his place I'd carry on, reject any offers and lose the club money for his treatment. Bit harsh maybe and I'm shattered, also obviously a huge fan of Boyd.

Good stuff on taking the time and effort with the e-mails. Shame it's still a cop out and he is hiding behind the 'law'

TBH, can't see Smith, the SFA or anyone including the media trying to get further action over this, it's just the way it seems to be. Any misdemeanours are overlooked. The thing thrown at Arshavin being just the latest example.
Used to like Smith but now can't stand the guy. If he doesn't comment about the dive, which it was, no matter what Mowbray says then he loses all credibility with his stance over Eduardo.

Gutted for Eck at Spurs......
They may do ok this season though, but easrly days. As we,l as Burnley are doing I see them falling away, as I do Hull

Hate to say it cos Arse deserved to win. Agree without doubt they were the better team.
Definite penalty with Fletcher/Arshavin. Rooney IMO was already diving although there was still contact.
Only happy to see Wenger whinging aghain but this time he was right.

Utter bollocks IMO and was sickened by the commentators. Even on Sky Sports website they are bumming celtic up. Ridiculous!
