  1. So 7 of our 18 home games would be shown on TV?

Not chuffed about this, we will probably struggle to get the numbers through the gates at Ibrox enough next year without giving the 'fans' the option to sit and watch it at home not to mention the fact that the kick offs will change away from Sat at 3pm.

  2. That is one thing im really looking forward to, sampling the atmosphere at these games from the terraces.

My company are taking 6 places at the Brechin game in boardroom hospitality but i think i might prefer to be in the terraces with the bears.

  3. Good move for all concerned i think, Great move for Edu, Good for us to get a fee for him and a decent player for Valencia to get for 300k, pennies to them really.

As many have said Thanks to Mo for doing the decent thing.

  4. Alright lads, not so much new more of an old timer returning to post on the board again.

Looking forward to getting involved again and hearing your thoughts on the current tough times.

  5. I think we'll start the season with a squad of:

    McGregor - GK

    Alexander - GK

    Whittaker - Right back/Left back

    Papac - Left back/Centre back

    Little - Right back/Striker

    Weir - Centre back

    Webster - Centre back

    McCulloch - Centre back/Centre midfield

    Thomson - Centre midfield

    Edu - Centre midfield

    Davis - Right midfield/Centre midfield

    Naismith - Right midfield/Striker

    Fleck - Left midfield

    Lafferty - Left midfield/Striker

    Miller - Striker

    Velicka - Striker

Bougie will go, Wilson will go, Broadfoot will probably go but there's a chance he could stay, Weir will stay

And the prospect of that squad being strong enough, or good enough, to win the title is laughable

So we won't sign anybody to replace the players who are going in your opinion?

  6. Davis gets my vote.

Maybe I'm being harsh on Weir but I think taking the game by the scruff of the neck and making things happen is a much harder skill than defending.

Although he probably hasn't done it in enough matches in a lot of fans eyes I think we would have really struggled (well, much more than we have done) for a creative spark without Davis.

  7. Whittaker can struggle against McGeady.

Agreed, Whittaker would probably get ripped a new one off Aids McGeady, hes not the best at defending, id be more comfortable with Broadfoot at right back even though hes not shown his best form recently.

On a side note, McGeady has been playing on the right hand side for the mhanky mob recently with Kamara playing on the left, according to a couple of cetlic supporting "friends" anyway.

  8. I was really frustrated with him on Saturday, i think the most annoying thing is that he is capable of being a great player when he gets involved.

Countless times on Saturday he was hiding, we were going forward and both him and McCulloch were sitting back in the holding midfield position, Davis just dosent seem to want to get involved in the game enough for me which is a pity because i really rate him when hes on his game.

  9. Back to work after a week's holiday so the usual threads (and main site articles) should be back on the go for each game.... ;)

    :)

I didnt make the game on Saturday as i was down south for the weekend so i have been reading a few reports on the game to get an idea of how it went, the papers seem to have Davis pushing for MOTM, notice you have him down as not so good a performance, just wondering what everyone else thought of his performance?

  10. I think that's the case with most of us mate.

Miller had a decent season over the piece last year and has started in a similar vein this term. If he can retain this level of performance and stay free from injury, then I'm happy for him to be in the team.

Did find his badge beating after his first goal on Saturday a bit difficult to stomach though.

Im sure i heard an interview just after he returned to us when he claimed it wasnt the badge he was beating it was his chest and it was something he did quite a lot for his son, dont know how true that is though.

And for the record, i would have him in the team every week, we are a much better team with Miller on the pitch even if he isnt on the scoresheet.

  11. Agree with all of that Norris.

But as a club it makes it all the more important that we bring a CB in now who can partner Bougherra THIS season and means we only need one further CB when Weir hangs it up at the end of the season (assuming he does. If he doesnt I dont fancy him as 1st choice CB at 41....)

Agree with this, it really does make sense to bring in a CB now, just hope that if we can see it, then Smith / Murray can see this as well.

  12. Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra says another impressive season could see him move to a top European club.

If you actually read what Boogie says, it is nowhere near what the headline suggests. Why is it that the media cant see us with a decent player without fabricating stories about moves elsewhere?

From what i can see from the quotes all he is saying is that when he does move on he would want to move to a club thats going to challenge for the title and play in the champions league.
