I reckon Smertin would be a bit of bad business by Curbishley although he does have the experience I suppose.

I do agree in a way.

Smertin is about 31 now and never made it really big compared to the reputation he had as a youngster.

Arsenal have a massive squad. Is one of the reasons Arsene Wenger will probably not bring anyone in during the transfer window. They'd rather offload some of their fringe players at the moment than add to their first team squad.

I must say, i certainly respect the amount of talented youngsters wenger finds every year. already he has the swiss central defence at an average age of 20!!!!!

I strained my medial ligaments about 6 weeks ago and the physio (one of, if not the, best on the island) says that it is a MINIMUM of 4 weeks to get back playing and even now after 6 weeks I still feel it (though the rugby tackle I took at a New year's party didnt help).

 

Obviously Webster will be getting much more intensive treatment than I am but still I would be surprised if he is back before mid Feb

Because mascherano is on loan he will have to honour that contract until end june. Obviously it`s up to west ham wether they want to play him or not, but he will still be allowed to play for ONLY West ham until then.
