PFA Player of the Year Awards Nominees

Recommended Posts

In "PFA do the right thing" shocker.......

==================

Rangers dominate the nominations for the PFA Scotland Player of the Year Award after three of their squad were shortlisted for the prize.

Steven Davis, Kris Boyd and David Weir were joined by another Ibrox employee in Andy Webster, who has spent this season on loan at Dundee United.

The nominees for the Young Player of the Year are David Goodwillie (Dundee United), Leigh Griffiths (Dundee), Anthony Stokes (Hibernian) and Danny Wilson (Rangers).

The winners will be announced and presented with their awards at a dinner at the Hilton Glasgow on Sunday, May 2. PFA Scotland chief executive Fraser Wishart said: "This is the top award for players.

"There is no greater honour in football than to be voted the best player in your country by your fellow professionals."

At long last the PFA actually nominate those deserving of the award.

I would give the POTY to Davis probably - Boyd would have had a great chance if he hadnt hit the skids recently (although.... when is the voting actually cast ?)

Stokes should win the YPOTY IMO - done a very good job for Hibs this season.
