Here's the content of that Sky article -

David Weir is against saying whether Walter Smith's future at Rangers will have a bearing on his decision to stay.

The veteran defender is out of contract this summer and it remains to be seen whether he will prolong his Ibrox career.

Weir admits extending his Light Blues stay remains his first choice, although he does not want to add to the speculation of Smith's future.

Smith is not contracted to Gers and the club's uncertain financial position means no lucrative long-term deals can be offered.

Asked whether Smith's departure would have any bearing on his own Rangers future, captain Weir said: "I don't know. I don't want to speak about things that haven't happened.

"Hopefully that won't happen so I'm not going to get involved in speculation. That's not the way to do it."

The veteran defender was named player of the year by both the SPL and the Scottish Football Writers Association and believes he has at least another year to offer at the top level.

"To be honest, I feel as though I'm able," he continued.

"It's whether somebody else thinks I'm able to do it and whether the manager thinks I'm able and that will be the main factor."
