maineflyer 0
The RST board is democratically voted by it's members MF. If it isn't, then it isn't a Trust. There IS a loophole though... only a certain number of positions are voted on. I've said before that the RST needs to open it's doors to fans and the best way to do that is to offer free membership. It's a dubious democracy at best and seems to rely on co-option rather than elections. But much more importantly, it's utterly ineffective.... or as they say in the land of plain speaking, it's been fucking useless since day one and has steadily gone downhill since then.
Zappa 0
It's a dubious democracy at best and seems to rely on co-option rather than elections. . If I'm not mistaken they're bound by Supporters Direct regs to have something like 4 board members up for re-election each year. Obviously that leaves a situation where a minority of dissenters can be ushered out of the room by others on the board, but more importantly that rule sidesteps the possibility of a cleanout and creation of a new Trust. It's something that Supporters Direct should really be looking at.
