They have been more intent on crucufying Rangers than anything else. If they had managed this properly they would have put the breaks on the SPL clubs making their decisions public, which would have given them a measure of control. Once "democracy" kicked in they lost control. I do not believe they thought the result was a foregone conclusion, given the discusions at the weekend. Regan's disgraceful comment yesterday that Rangers would not be allowed in the SPL (we don't believe you, Regan) has to be seen in the context of todays meeting. In other words, it wasn't happening. The result is a foregone conclusion. Rangers into SFL1 for financial reasons. Doncaster has had months to perfect his "41 club" speech justifying this course of action. The only problem is that it doesn't fit with "sporting integrity" or with the "new democracy". Get out of that one Their handling of this has been incompetent. There should be a vote of no confidnece in these jokers. We can't do it, as we have no league, but I would be very surprised if one was not forthcoming. Footnote Regan knew about Whyte and did nothing and it is possible that he communicated that to Doncaster. I use the word demoracy loosely as one side has not been allowed to campaign in all of this.
