IF you are free tomorrow between the hours of 10am and 5pm and then again from 5pm till 8.30pm why not come along to Ibrox and help place cards on seats for what should be an outstanding display prior to kick off at the Peterhead game on Saturday.

If you are available please report to the Argyle House Reception and ask for Jim Hannah, it may take 5-10 mins but someone will come down and take you into the stands to allow you to help place the cards on seats.

The display will consist of large poppies in the Govan Stand Rear and Govan Stand Front, with Union Flag in the Copland Stand and a Union Flag in the Broomloan Stand, all volunteers welcome.

A Fan-tastic Effort Written by Andrew Dickson

CHARLES GREEN met Rangers fans today as they helped lay out cards for the display which will pay tribute to the armed forces ahead of Saturday’s match with Peterhead.

Thousands of coloured cards were placed in Broomloan, Govan and Copland Stands for the show the day before Remembrance Day by around 35 volunteers.

Chief executive Green came to thank them for their efforts when they finished for the day with fans’ liaison officer Jim Hannah.

He then spent around 20 minutes chatting with them, signed autographs and posed for photos with the loyal supporters.

Anyone who wishes to help complete the display preparations tomorrow is asked to report to Argyle House reception at 10am where they can ask for Jim.

It is expected everything will be finished no later than 5pm. No more volunteers are needed today due to heavy rain being forecast tonight.

Green said: “It’s going to look amazing at the weekend. I’ve never had the privilege of being able to see this kind of thing before.

“This is obviously the first time I have been involved with the club at this time of year and the devotion of the fans has been terrific.

“It hasn’t been a warm day today but the amount of time and effort they have put in has been tremendous.
