European clubs body downgrades Rangers' status but recognises history

Recommended Posts

Not sure what that's meant to mean - does it simply indicate we're in the clear financially, or does the reference to newco have any negative implications?

Well, newco essentially tells us that we are barred from Europe for three years because of having no 3-year trading history (the one thing you could hold against Green, perhaps). Newco also tells us though, that the Rangers UEFA deals with is a club no longer tied to any debts of the oldco, thus we will - by the looks of it - easily fulfill the Fair Play & Live within your means rules that Platini tries to push through. I wonder how many EPL and not least Spanish clubs will manage this.

SFA, SFL, UEFA & ECA all recognise the club and it's CONTINUING history. It's only the deluded who cannot accept the fact.

RANGERS THEN, RANGERS NOW, RANGERS FOREVER
