budget same as Brentford

Recommended Posts

The English Championship, in this transfer window, have seen the sixth largest amount of money in Europe spent on transfer fees. They are only behind the big 5 if EPL, La Liga, Seria A, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga.

The Championship seems to have TONS of money floating around !

And the standard of quality isn't that great, considering the sums spent. I doubt any Championship side would cause any half decent Europa League side any problems.

Thanks, but I was looking for any sort of reasonable justification for that fee. Like McCormack still being on a long deal when being transferred. But the fee is just mad, as you already said.

He had just scored 29 goals and isn't an out and out striker. It's a crazy fee but he does have a good goal record.

The current budget may well be the same as Brentford but will undoubtedly increase when we're back in the top division competing for the title & playing in Europe again.

And given the players Warburton has picked up from the bargain basement would have you excited about who he can pick up with more financial resource, though there is obviously no guarantee of continued transfer market success.
