As the result is overwhelmingly in favour of unifying the supporters groups, as outlined in the Club 1872 proposal, the working group will now proceed to carry out the necessary steps for that to happen.

 

Part of this process means that we would need to add a new section to our Article of Association which would also be adopted by each of the companies that will form Club1872.

 

It deals with the appointment of the new Club1872 board and has been set up to enable one vote of Club 1872 members to be held and for that vote to deal with the appointment of directors to each of the Club 1872 companies.

 

To unify the supporters group together then we need to have the following section added to the Article of Association and approved by our members.

23.5 The Directors shall be appointed annually following a vote amongst all of the contributors to the Company. The directors appointed shall be those with the highest number of votes on the basis of one vote for each contributor. The number of directors to be appointed shall be seven.

 

For these purposes, the contributors to the company shall consist of those recognised by the Company as Club 1872 life members, members who became life members on the assumption by Club 1872 of the life members of Rangers First and the Rangers Supporters Trust and those persons who are contributing funds to Club 1872 on a periodic basis and who are no more than one month in arrears.

 

Club 1872 is the collective title applied to the Company, Club 1872 Projects CIC, Club 1872 Limited and Supporters Voice Limited and such other entities as may be approved by the foregoing companies and admitted to Club 1872 from time to time.
