WELL DONE SON Crystal Palace transfer news: Sam Allardyce to make Motherwell striker Louis Moult his first signing with £500,000 deal

Former non-league strike could be about to realise his Premier League dream with the Eagles

SAM ALLARDYCE could make Motherwell striker Louis Moult his first Crystal Palace signing.

The forward has been in fine goal scoring form this season for the Scottish side and looks to have earned himself a move south.

The 24-year-old hotshot has fired 11 goals in just 18 appearances and is available for £500,000.

Big Sam is desperate to bolster his newly-inherited squad at Selhurst Park as he looks to steer the Eagles away from the Premier League drop zone.

Palace will face competition for Moult, with Championship sides Cardiff City, Derby, Rotherham and Burton also chasing his signature.

The Well ace already has top-flight experience after coming through hometown club Stoke’s academy.

He made his debut for the Potters at 18 but was released after his sole appearance.

Moult then dropped down into non-league and played for Nuneaton, Halifax and Wrexham as well as working as a builder’s labourer.

However, his finishing abilities did not go unnoticed and his dream of becoming a pro became reality in the summer of 2015.

He joined Motherwell from the Welsh side for a fee of £125,000 and has gone on to bag 24 times in 54 matches.
