I see a memorial service was held for him today in Clydebank (Everton Heritage Society were involved).  He had one cap for Scotland, was an Everton captain and also the first captain of Liverpool.  He played for Renton and then WBA before moving to Merseyside.

Quite an interesting story and it seems the Everton Heritage Society are not too dissimilar to our Founders Trail.
