Heart and Hand Podcast - One rule for one

Recommended Posts

They say in this video that they know Alfies English is good. I don't know if it would actually qualify as good but I suspected that after this amount of time it would be good enough to communicate. I say that because I have a brother who spent some years in Germany and was eventually speaking German good enough to communicate.

I asked him if he had taken lessons to which he said no. What happens is that when you're mixing with people speaking a foreign language all day long it simply begins to burn itself into your brain. You end up learning it simply by hearing it and while initially you don't know what the words mean you typically know what's being talked about.

You hear the same words repeatedly in specific circumstances and it just all begins to fall into place. I would like to see just one interview with Alfie before he leaves. Hope he has a hint of a Scottish accent when speaking English the same way Laudrup ended up.
