They were a 5th division side in 2000 when Dietmar Hopp, founder of SAP software invested his money into the club. They have since risen rapidly through the ranks and are now challenging for the Bundesliga and a CL spot. They've just moved to a new 30,000 seater stadium in a nearby town of Sinsheim which has a 35,000 population. That's less than Inverness. Also what's happened to Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord who are 3rd, 4th and 12th respectively with Alkmaar and FC Twente in the top two spots?
