  1. I would like to see a game without any police presence in that particular area of the ground. I mean its hardly impossible to have some on standby if something goes wrong but seriously what potential problem would there be? If the stewards and police at the turnstiles do their job correctly, then no bottles, offensive flags, smokes etc would get in.

  2. I have to admit that I'm not the biggest fan of him but right now until McKay is fit, he has no competition (Kerkar isnt even included in this). For me he is so left footed its unbelievable and it shows. Seeing Jelavic frustrated at the complete lack of quality he is getting from both wings is quite depressing.

However he has been getting himself into some really good positions and had a couple of attempts at goal on Saturday. A good run in the team and he can hopefully get more confident and lift his head to look before crossing a ball!

  3. I must say that we as a support are very quick to get on the back of management and players although being out of Europe is something that disappointed us all. However, it might not be a bad thing in the long run for Ally in his first season. Onwards and upwards from here!

  4. I like the idea of players being suspended for diving in order to win points etc but I think in order to kill it out of our game the team needs to be punished with points. Then again its a very subjective view and there is going to be questions of who exactly is on this panel, despite it being secretive.

  5. I was at the game in Stirling and can confirm there was an announcement made around the 25th minute to say that anyone caught singing songs of a sectarian nature would be escorted from the ground.

However, I personally never heard any sectarian songs from the group of kids (barely any over the age of 18) and can only imagine that the sash is the song they believe to be sectarian? According to a friend of mines who was in the section, he told me that the police were actually more concerned over the smoke bombs (not flares which has been the common mistake ) and the firecrackers which made a gun- shot like banging noise. The group were then kept after the game by the police for the safety of families exiting the stadium and followed to the train station until they got on the train.

Before the game had even started a women who worked for Stirling walked past where I was sitting, looked into the crowd and said I need to go over and sit with those hooligans. Funnily enough after all mentioned, there was not one arrest made.

  6. It is getting to be a bit of a pain being told what we all already know. It's time for some action.

I've just read on another thread that Rodregiz(!) has turned us down, so get on with all the other targets then.

BTW, has the player refused us, or the club???

Apparently the club? The offer we put in wasnt enough.

  7. Lennon refused to see the funny side and said: ââ?¬Å?Youââ?¬â?¢d think they would have better things to do, like follow their team in Germany rather than pay a lot of money to noise us up. Theyââ?¬â?¢re a wee bit obsessed with us.ââ?¬Â

Aye good one Lennon! Bears from Oz are going to fly all the way to Germany for preseason!

I think he might have confused the banner from being Perth in Scotland instead of Australia.

Credit to those for doing this though, excellent!

  8. At least he's going to wait to see what the outcome of the rape case is.

Does anyone know when the trial is?

I thought the rape case was dropped due to lack of evidence? Im positive it was in my local newspaper because it was in Livingston's court...

  9. Personally I dont think the Cuellar story is a goer...

He is out for 3 months apparently after surgery, therefore would miss preseason, the CL qualifiers and the opportunity to build an understanding with McGregor and our defence. Also if he is injured, surely he would fail a medical?

If he is so keen on a return to Rangers, we should wait until January, get him on a bosman and see if he would wait.

  10. I would understand him leaving to be with his family and as previously mentioned should leave on a high. Would much rather be remembered as the captain of the Rangers squad who won 3 in a row instead of a bit part player.

  11. I heard that the screens cost sixteen grand each just to be looked at therefore the club were leaving it until the summer to have them fixed. The company that fixes them are in Turkey so I believe they are to be pulled out soonish. (I think it was discussed at the AGM)

  12. According to Andrew Dickson (the guy who does RTV and the Rangers News) every team in the SPL are entitled to postpone one week of fixtures because Celtic had agreed to playing in the Dublin Cup prior to the new SPL start date.

Despite the fact I really enjoyed the game last time, I would much rather get on with SPL and get that wee bit of an advantage with them chasing us in the league early on. Will still go though :)
