  1. yeah that's the way i thought it would work

Just the way Beattie said if you put alot of money on it that you would win

I didn't mean it as in you NEED to put a lot on to win, but with odds of 4/6.. if you put a fiver on that you get £8.33 back, which is a profit, obviously, of £3.33.. which is hardly worth it, really. So aye, with odds of like 4/6 you're more inclined to put a bit more cash on it to make it worthwhile.

  2. If not more momentous.

Not interested in the coupon tonight.. if anything I'll do a fiver on Weir for first goal tonight or something silly like that.

Last night I was wishing I was rich and had loads of cash to gamble with.. Marin Cilic was 2 sets up and had a break in the third set against Murray last night and in running he was still 4/6.. Unbelievable.. big punters everywhere should of been lumping on that.

  3. Through some contacts at Tennents picked up some tickets tonight.. looking forward to it.

Quite like the look of that team, actually. Alexander quite rightly dropped after an awful performance on Saturday.. no injustice in dropping Weir for Caldwell as was talked about. Whittaker rightly keeps his place.. Maloney was always going to come in for McFadden.

  4. Dunno if this is a good thing or a bad thing..

Think the realists/pessimists, whichever you prefer, among us are all assuming we won't have too much success at this level this season. In that sense, is it maybe better for us to be in Pot 3 with less expectation?

At the same time, you look at a possible group of any of Pot 1, ourselves, Stuttgart and Debrecen or some team of that mould and you'd start fancying our chances again.

  5. As far as I was aware he's played for them for a while, has he not? It's a bit of a isconception that a player has to be a free agent for him to have a trial somewhere.

Let us not forget a certain Steven Naismith had a trial at Arsenal while playing for Kilmarnock etc.
