  1. Even if they were to do a 14 team SPL (which would be chaotic if they tried) they would be screwing over the SFL who would need to admit a new team to play in Div 3 (I'd presume!) with a weeks notice! Crazy!

Crazy BUT filled with sporting integrity - surely it's time this phrase was re-defined?!

  2. And they have abused this victim enough that we have to accept this if we want to survive. Makes me sick. Ask decisions have had timescales manipulated to have maximum detriment to the rangers! The only group to have acted timely are the sfl!

  3. Surely they won't? [*block this*] if looking out for members, would be better to let the div 3 then 2 then 1 teams benefit from what we have to offer them (finance/prestige etc) rather than denying us because of the SPL clubs? (Who could have taken us in and punished us purely for the insolvency issue created by a fraudster)

Funny how quiet the SPL chairmen and fans have been this last week!

  4. or maybe he's demonstrating this mythical "transparency" people are desperate for?

He seems to think that Rangers are still registered as a member of the FA from the bygone days of yore, and as such could apply to join the English leagues and he reckons there would be money in that.

Seems a little far fetched and a bit disruptive when we are trying to move forward in Scotland, but interesting reading nonetheless!

  5. My interpretation is that the punishment we were given was not within the SFA rule book. Therefore the ruling was not against the law of the land - but against the membership rules. If we agree to accept (which I don't think we should) the original punishment, we are not breaking any legal laws (other than perhaps contempt of court?) and are just accepting a private punishment (even though it is not in the membership rule book), which is not illegal.

To confuse matters, I believe there is uncertainty on the legality of a transfer embargo regarding the freedom of employment rules... So perhaps the transfer embargo is illegal, but this cannot be argued after the court ruling on the membership rules and punishments available under these rules.

  6. Thought Monty was the best golfer never to win a major? Other than that Monty, I have no clue why this is a person I should know/trust? Mind you, I think we are on a path now, and I think it's get behind the club (and Green) or cause even more uncertainty!

  7. How can we react to this latest persecution from the SFA? How can we as a club respond to this?

    A suggestion?

    Whittaker

    Naismith

    McCabe

    Hutton

    Ness

    McGregor

    Davis

all others that would be eligible and interesting to Stuart Pearce in his Team GB selection, sign up now! Possibly get behind UEFA and help get rid of the SFA as they fear this might happen with the olympic team. Maybe it is sour grapes, but what have Rangers got to lose?

  8. just read this. Sounds like the SPL/Celtic are trying to throw the book at us for having an accusation (despite no legal obligation - yet) of a debt. Don't think it will change the BK's but may effect the American bid?

Typical though. I read an article this morning that said "in the next 48 hours", and I thought, well that's it jinxed!! oh well...
