  1. I cannot believe Boyd is in the squad after that ridiculous performance on Tuesday.

Is McCulloch going to play CB again ? Against Jason Cummings? Surely not

Between now & the end of the season McCall has major decisions to take which will determine whether we get promoted or not.

He seems to be avoiding them as far as I can see

Our only CH with a bit of Pace (McGregor) must play against Cummings tomorrow and NOT out at RB where he is uncomfortable anyway. I hate the fact that not only does that wee rat have a stupid haircut but that he usually scores against us.

Oh and we should man mark their RB who I think has scored about 2 or 3 goals in his life ALL against us .............

  2. Let's face it he's going to play, we all know he shouldn't but he will.

My suggestion .................. stick him back up front. With Clark.

Boyd/Daly/Miller haven't done anything between them to merit a place anyway so not as if him being shoe horned into CF will upset the team.

But by having him AWAY from CH I think it could improve us massively at the back and maybe stop some leaks. Should also let us play 10-15 yards further up the park which will help our ailing midfield.

  3. am I wrong or has Paul Murray not spoken a word since the appointment of McCall as interim manager? from what I can see they appointed him and stuck him in front of the cameras to get on with it.

Maybe they are working on other things like getting out of Ashley's ridiculous contracts.

And is it not the managers job to speak about football?

  4. I agree.....but I can't see McCall taking it on for such a short tenure

Maybe he see's it as an opportunity to propel his name into another job after this.

or maybe he's been told, get us up and you are in with a shout.

  5. He would be my first choice.

Whilst we are bleating on about "he's too young" "job is too big for him" "no experience" he will have had one season with some other club and the big guns will be sniffing about him and the boat will have sailed.

There is also a chance he could come in and bomb BUT a McCall/McInnes for me isn't a gamble, they would do well for one or two seasons and we'd be back looking to change yet again as they hit stalemate.

The gamble is now, don't play safe or we will be back here in 2-3 years time.

  6. Apparently Dave King has just been on SSN alluding to a new manager...

Didn't see it myself but hopefully it will be on again soon.

For what it's worth I've been told McCall is en route to replace McDowell. No further info with regards to for how long etc .............

  7. I would have taken a defeat last night if it was the ultimate decider in Kenny's departure ................. I just hope he isn't there come Saturday.

I fully believe the board are actively working on a solution however I believe a defeat last night would have given them no choice. We must act.

I'd rather lose out on promotion having a gamble than stuttering the way we are .........

  8. To put it bluntly ANY appointment, ANY, whether it be Walter/McInnes/McCall/Cathro/Magath/Davies will be a gamble, and that's if it's temporary till end of the season or beyond ...

    However ....

Doing nothing is accepting another season in the Championship.

  9. read dave kings statements JTP.. that does appear to be his line..

He's not gony come in and say we absolutely need to get promoted, as if not would look like a disaster. Although in reality not getting promoted IMO will be a disaster.

I'm pretty sure they still harbour ambitions of going up and I'm also more sure that they haven't "given up". They've chased this chance for years I don't think they will give up after 5 minutes in the door when we are still in pole position to finish 2nd. Albeit we are shocking but the opportunity is there to tweak the manager and boot this team up the proverbial for the run in.

  10. But would you bet against it?

It would be a cost effective solution for KingCo and since they appear to have given up on promotion they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

They have been in the door 5 minutes jeezo ............

  11. Kenny would be my ultimate last choice.

Ally would be my ultimate second last choice.

But if it's between the two then obviously Ally wins, not as the better manager, just as the less worse one.

  12. So I decided to take a half day and head to Ibrox. Parked the car at the Broomloan around 1pm and walked round to the argyle. No movement checked twitter etc press conference at 2:30pm. The press were told to head for the media room so I thought King etc would come out the front door after the press conference. Got car, got a heat, charged phone and headed onto Edmiston Drive. Checked twitter and saw the photos of them outside the Argyle. Bas***d missed them. Ran round missed it. So decided to hang about. Back round to the Argyle as the car they arrived in was sitting there. The chauffeur came out and got in the car, so I jumped in mine and followed him. He done one full lap and stopped at the ticket office I strolled past him thinking whys he stopped there ......., as John Gilligan walked past my car. Oaft. Engine still running I jumped out to shake the hand of Dave King and Paul Murray and gave my personal thanks from the fans.

Worth the wait. What a day.
