  1. So the gist of this article is that Ally is completely untouchable. If this season with his signings and lets be honest not to many of field distractions is not "unhindered" then i doubt that condecending types like cg will ever see it differently. My opinion has fuck all to do with what shite i read either in blogs or in the media. Ally is a poor football manager and we will constantly need more huge investment to fund his inadequacy.

  2. Realpapabear - you trust ally? He's toadied up to every "spiv" thats been in and out since whyte took over. He's jumped sides of the fence more than red rum in the national.. Looks like his judgement in backing his bosses is as suspect as his judgement of a player... I'm just sticking to the football side as i can't influence the boardroom shite.

  3. I think stewarty made some good points. Every facet of the club needs to be looked at and re evaluated. Good start point is how many (accountant/goalie, /right back, /coach,/ admin etc) do you need. Next are they delivering? Yes/no - performance manage them out the door if no. Mmm that works for non playing staff but not players and manager/ coaches as they have bomb proof contracts that say they can only be got rid off with compensation or transfer if they agree..if i was wallace i would be asking ally to evaluate every player and coach on his staff. For each player - does he rate them, do they have a future at rfc, are they short term useful or long term. Now for the tricky questions - what length of contracts are they on? Only the select few who are seen as long term spl players should have been given more than two year contracts. A review along these lines would expose ally's lack of planning, (players we don't need simonsen, smith, foster cribiari)) poor judgement (offering long contracts to players he will now see as not good enough - barrie mckay!) and poor man management of expensive assets (templeton, shiels immediately spring to mind).

Director / executive salaries - think they will have to publish some transparent figures on what is being paid and clear links to performance v remuneration are required for these positions. If they don't get some transparency then i think ST sales will be hit for next season as fans need to trust that their money is not being filtered out by a few chancers.

This hotel carry on today alone won't kill us but just shows the spend spend culture that still hangs around Ibrox like a bad smell.

  4. We're not that far apart on what we want and how to get there. 3,4,5 years can sound too long , but no plan could see us nowhere for longer than that. I agree with the right manager (never a sure thing until they actually do the job) we could quickly challenge, but currently i see nothing but hard times ahead.

  5. Thanks for copying that before i edited the spelling.. damn small phones...lol

Your right we are to late. Obviously being number one again must be our goal, but we need a plan to get there with mini goals and targets aligned to budgets, income increases as we progress (higher st prices, increased tv revenues, europe tv money even..) i think we have the right ceo in wallace. Just need the balls to get shot of ally and get a decent manager in place like NOW..

  6. We have to forget about celtic for now. This idea that we could win the spf first season or so back is fanciful, even with good investment. We will have to get the better of a few decent teams before we are ready to crack celtic again. We should be focussing on rangers and getting on a sound footing with a proper manager.
