Millers touch was still awful.
..... he’ll always be ‘rubberman’ to me ;-))

Get yourself a crying towel & man-up.......... with the constant bleating I fear some of you won't make it past next week-end.
Taxi to the Erskine .................

The hysteria/paranoia on here is getting as bad as FF ............. Jesus wept right enough
It is only mid September FFS, it's sounding more like Kerryfail Street by the hour.
Considering the turnover in players, with another transfer window to go, some of you really need to get a grip.

I'm dreading every match until we get a good run. We need a win.
Oh ye of little faith

Did he ever get any punishment for his carry on with Jim Duffy?
I read that there is a 2 game suspended sentence hanging over his head for the rest of 2017.
Any laps in his conduct could see 2 + 2 more or even 4 more with any luck.
Hope it kicks in by the Saturday

Flair baiting is the practice of laying lumps of cheese on the flair to lead rodents to a trap.
Flair bating on the other hand, I'm not familiar with.
....... thanks for that

After Mr Dallas's gift in not giving a stonewall penalty to Thistle in extra time tonight, tomorrows result is now even more important.
The Sheltic player clearly kneed the Patrick player in the thigh & in addition had a hand on his back but the reaction, a full stretch dive, to me, was enough for Dallas to void any hope of a penalty & draw in a game that was up for grabs.

" ......... this is a Hibs side that’s easy on the eye"
- which game(s) &/or YouTube highlights did you persue to come up with that 'glowing' conclusion

.......................... however, on the evidence of one pre-season friendly against Marseille, I don't see us scoring many from open play.
You missed the Sheffield Wednesday game & the 2 goals from 'open play' ?

I don't particularly enjoy being the forum curmudgeon ..............................
Sadly this style of writing reminds me of that king of all 'curmudgeons' GS, where every sentence that starts with a positive ends with a negative & vice versa.
For me, the glass is half full with expectation & hope until the evidence proves otherwise.
.................................. but, each to his own.

Read 'somewhere' that Peña was several weeks away from fitness.
Language & culture shock alone may suggest he simply needs time to adjust.
As our most expensive signing I like the idea of bringing him along slowly, saving him as a 'secret weapon'.
We seem to have considerable depth in MF, including our U20's.
Can't wait for the First Park game

Ryan Jack played 90 minutes + 11 subs used.
2 players for every position being used.
Lots of good chances with 2/3 excellent saves by the SJ keeper(s).

56 posts on this thread, how many posters have actually watched this friendly before forming an opinion ?
Curious .........

based on what exactly?
the tripe served up against the part timers?
on that evidence he's hopeless.
As ever, it is all about opinions.
I have liked what I have seen of the young lad from day one, so will look forward to a fresh, fit, & fruitful season ahead.
But what ho, don't let me keep you from wallowing in your well ..............

Probably suits us with past records to go on,e.g. Rossiter come to us and take a season to get over injury.
.......... fact is, we stuck with the programme, got to the bottom of his problem and if you haven't seen him yet, looks more than capable of doing the business as a DM in the coming season.
Looks like the genuine article to me.

hung out to dry in the wrong position
.................... by MW certainly but with his limited budget, vision & nouse, yes Halliday was fine in the Championship.
In which position would you see Halliday fitting into Caixinha's regime among our current squad ? (attacking MF, LB, Winger)

Encouraged at the depth these young lads have added to the squad for next season.
Alnwick showed a couple of traits FOd should adopt (coming for the ball & throwing out quickly).
If PC can secure a quality spine & Rossiter, Kranjcar get a good jump on the pre-season the only way is up ..................................
Let's see that list now Pedro

I generally go to NewsNow to run down the headlines from the 'usual suspects' in the SMSM

Anything worth debating is generally found to have been sourced, filtered and accredited, 7 hours ahead of my time zone, so you save me an incredible amount of time online from ...................... 'following worthless pursuits'.

I think the managers ideas are better suited to better players. The only criticism I have of PC just now is that he's 'changing tactics too much', with players that are just too rubbish to execute them.
Pedro changed the tactics - something MW could not do.
The 'players' stuck with it and came up with a win - better late than never !
The season is a write-off, so I'm glad to see PC giving the youngsters a go. We've been saying it all season: we need a massive clear-out and upgrade in every position; the manager can't do anything about that just now.
Have we not finished higher than expected in our first season back ?
We know we have no MF ............
- a reminder of what Pedro inherited & where we are :-
8 Jon Toral Spain CM/CAM (age 22) Injured
11 Josh Windass England CM/AM (age 23) Started - played 90 mins
15 Harry Forrester England AM/RW/LW (age 26) - out of favour !?
16 Andy Halliday Scotland DM/CM (age 25) Bench
18 Jordan Rossiter England DM/CM (age 20) Injured
19 Niko Kranjčar Croatia AM (age 32) Injured
20 E. Hyndman U.States CM/AM (age 21) Injured
21 Matt Crooks England DM/CB (age 23) Injured
23 Jason Holt Scotland DM/CM (age 24) Started - subbed
52 Liam Burt Scotland AM/CM (age 18) Loan
55 Jamie Barjonas Scotland CM (age 18) Bench/subbed on
I thought Garner was good today. He didn't get much service, but when we did he won everything, both in the air and into feet; and a good finish for the goal.
FWIIW - I thought this was Garner's most constructive performance of the season in a game more suited to his style.
I shudder to think what/how 'The Breadman' might have handled this situation...
.......... thoughts !?
