    That won't be enough.

When SG talked about a serious lack of quality in the final third after the game in Macedonia, surely he did so with the full intention of aggressing the issue before the transfer window closed.

Sadiq and Kent offer options but by hook, crook or the loan market, we need a splash of quality.

He also said "it was a very fine margin. Watching the game we were very close to scoring four or five at home and another couple away".

He also went on to say we have quality in the final third already in the squad.  Many times he has also mentioned the fact we were top goal scorers last year, so it's hard to say it won't be enough all of a sudden. Though I do agree, just don't think Allen or Gerrard do.

We will definitely be bringing in another CB after that I think it will just be one in one out. Doesn't seem to me he wants to sell windass or that any bids are incoming.

We have spent £6.5m already not including loan fees and the other costs. Another expected £2m - £3m on a third CB if all the latest info is true. Guessing they will keep some money for January. That's best part of £10m. To bring in a forward too.....

I would be absolutely amazed if we aren't still looking for a striker.  Kent & Ejaria may be expected to fill the "creativity" gap - but we still need another striker IMO.

We have Morelos and sadij for CF, windass and Kent for FR and Murphy and Middleton for FL. Plus kent can play both sides and windass through the middle. That's two per position. Only way I see another forward signing is if we are getting rid of someone.

Think it's mostly wishful thinking from fans tbh, Gerrard has been pretty precise in his plans.

I read some comments from Liverpool fans last night and whilst they were clearly pro-Liverpool and therefore pro Kent - many of them were saying that this lad will tear Scottish football up.  They reckon we have signed an excellent player.

Here's hoping he is, and he isn't our version of Musonda :D

Bristol fans aren't in agreement on that??

He's here now so we will just need to get behind him, well for the first ten minutes anyway??

Looking at the squad and Gerrard's comments about two for every position and the last part of the window being used to see who's about and could improve on who we have I'd say bar a CB we are done. Every position now has two with kent coming in other than CB.

Unless a player of higher calibre can be found for a player we can get a bid for that is.

IIRC ... Hodzic was once targetted by Liverpool but didn't get a work-permit. Someone remembered this and since we got Gerrard, that chap put the question out whether he would be a decent signing. From then on it grew arms and legs.

He was at Liverpool for three years. They had to loan him out the whole time because of the WP issues.

Gutted it's just a rumour. Got excited ?

What are you guys on about? Armin Hodzic? Dinamo Zagreb, contract till 2022 and sure rather expansive. Has he been linked bar some wishful thinking stuff?

He couldn't get a work permit to play at Liverpool but that was when he was 16. If there is any possibility of him being able to come now we should get the cheque book out. Looks a very accomplished player. Wish there was something to this one

I don't know much about Kent, other than some have said he's a tricky, two-footed winger with a bit of pace. On paper it sounds good; we need more options up front.

We need another forward and central creative player too.

He looks good in the obligatory YouTube videos but getting sent home early from his loan at Freiburg then again getting sent home early from his loan at Bristol doesn't fill me with any confidence at all. As always will hope he can hit the ground running and prove his worth.

Hope has to be to see the midfield and forward starters increase in standard, not too sure it's going to happen though. Can only hope we have some surprises in the pipeline.

If he is better, I hope he does.  Middleton then has to accept the standards he must reach if he's to get into the team.  No-one is owed a place in the team, just because they've been here longer.  The best 11 should start.  That's the only way to motivate the others to reach the standard, because it's the only way they'll be picked.

I do accept the point that we need to develop our own, but part of developing our own is to put them in the right space mentally, and that should mean realisation of the standards we expect.  Nothing less should be tolerated, not even for a promising young talent like GM.

Having said all this, I hope Middleton rises to the challenge and grabs one of those starting shirts.  At least when he wears it he will know he deserves it because of his talent, rather than as a result of him being owed anything.

That would entirely depend on the terms of the loan deal. I doubt very much Kent is being loaned to us without conditions on playing time.

There was recently a very good article highlighting the best players in the world and how they all play regularly as youth players. Young boys sitting on the bench being told this guy is currently better than you don't grow and reach their potential.Middleton doesn't deserve to drop down the pecking order because Gerrard agrees to play a Liverpool youth 70% of the time.

Think it is more that Rangers want us to allow the official site to get hits.

We really need to get consistent with whether these get posted or not.  That said, if they are already on social media then they are freely available for everyone anyway.

Those are official videos from the club's YouTube channel by the looks of it so doesn't matter where they are watched it will still count. Only thing fans should keep in mind is if an advert comes up first watch it through don't skip that way the club gets money.

Other than that most of the videos (not these ones) are only short clips of bigger videos on RTV so fans should spend the fiver it's well worth it nowadays. The output has been fantastic this year

He’s potentially that creativity we need.  Still needs time

Hopefully with the boy from Roma and coulbilly in we will get a bit more exciting.

Hate that kind of game but get it's a means to an end

The team started out with Jack and McCrorie playing behind Windass, Murphy and Candeais.  That was the base formation.

Your welcome to your opinion mate thats what football is all about .for me candiese was beside jack and McCrorie same as the previous two games and the bottom left corner of the right triangle with windass the top. Though windass Morelos and Murphy have rotated at times. ?

It isn’t a 4-3-3 though.  It’s a 4-2-3-1 with McCrorie and Jack playing behind Windass, Murphy and Candeais

    Disagree.

Formations are fluid. It's a 4-3-3 as that's the base formation. It's where we start from. when we have possession in forward third it moves to a 2-1-4-3 and when defending in this game goes to a 4-2-3-1.

  12. Pretty boring and poor so far. 4-3-3 doesn't work with these players in any of the forward fluid phases. Disjointed with Morelos isolated. Windass is missing in action and we are one dimensional. Only one out ball Out wide right but just to put cross after cross in to Morelos who clearly can't header a ball.

When we enter defensive phase the formation is working and seeing us staying narrow and closing the space down well.

Need to start retaining possession and staying in the neutral formation more and be happy in the middle

Candiese McCrorie in the middle needs changed.

I just read on FF that the Rangers supporters have been attacked by Aris supporters wearing helmets and all their banners stolen. I said as much on the Podcast. One Rangers supporter has been taken to hospital seemingly. I can't confirm but the post was made by someone who is there.

Yeah seen reports of this too from people there. It's in Greece though attacked by fans of aris.

Many Millwall fans think he’s worth £10 mill plus

Did they not only pay £350k a year ago for him?

Wish we would spend £4m on a midfielder who can shoot and play a bit or even get in a £2m class midfielder and forward. Let cordoso be the cover at back. Katic and Goldson look to be gelling well
